2016: The Year in Review and a Look Ahead

A review of the best Girls Chase articles of 2016. Plus, a look ahead to what’s in store for 2017.

Another year come and gone, and it’s time once more for a reflection on what the past year’s brought. As with prior years (2013, 2014, 2015), I’ve sat down to present our best articles of the year, based on both comment counts and my opinion.

In 2016, we posted 229 new articles, or about 4.5 a week. This year we premiered a new, sleeker site design, and moved to a new, faster server. And I’ve devoted a lot of time this year to writing, planning, filming, and editing my new upcoming master class – which I’ll reveal more about in this post.

This year we enjoyed:

Hector Castillo’s 15 tutorials on being blunt with girls and having them love it
Denton Fisher’s 18 articles on picking up and seducing girls
Alek Rolstad’s 30 articles on logistics, dry spells, momentum, and more
And 116 articles from me (Chase Amante) on mindsets, pickup, and the female mind

... not to mention three from Francesco Toggianini; two each from Ethan Fierre, Halvor Jannike, Joe Ducard, Cody Lyans, and Davi Diluna; and one apiece from Aron James, David Carreras, Jeff Billings, Jon Anthony, Pablo Garcia, and Big Mike.

Great stuff, both the occured and the planned.

You know, even though I'm doing pretty well with girls (which I would define as being able to pick up and get laid most of the times you go for it), and even though I don't lead a player life (I only go out for the specific aim to pick up like once a month or so with a girl(friend) in between), I don't know, I still enjoy reading this stuff, and I still learn a lot of things. I guess I'm like the girls who read GC: I'm not the major target audience, but I read it anyway, and diligently so -- the material here is just very interesting regardless of your level of success or even objectives with the opposite sex.

Also I know I can flood the comment sections sometimes, but that's just me lol, I have to comment on everything and I have something to say about everything I read or see, ever since my high-school class clown days -- yes, I'm that guy :)

Btw since this is a recap of 2016, I gotta say, I like this design very much. However, I think your last avatar/picture was better than this one. This one is good, but the last one had an intimidating air to it (in a good, dignifying way), like when you see it your impression is, "this guy has seen shit..." or "this guy can teach you shit." You looked more high-status and more of an authority is what I mean. Not sucking up or anything, we all have our areas of expertise, but yeah, in this field you're deservedly the boss, and that picture reflected that better. Just my two cents.

Not to worry about flooding the comments. You're a balanced guy who asks great questions - as far as I'm concerned, post/ask away!

I'm glad to hear about the design. That was my biggest worry with a redesign. So many websites with responsive themes that for me on a laptop are just unusable. How do you get a design that's both beautiful and functional, on both mobile and desktop? Fortunately, we happened on a talented agency and talented designer who did great work. I haven't heard a single complaint about the new design, which to me is just amazing - every time any website switches designs, I see people complaining they liked the old design better.

Noted on the picture. I was half-tempted (still somewhat tempted) to use a photo. Plenty of shots where I look a lot more authoritative than in the caricature. But we can't get most other guys to attach their real pictures to a dating site, and then we run into the weird disconnect where everyone else is cartoons and then this guy Chase has a photo. Kind of messes up the uniformity of the site.

Guess I could always ask George to do another caricature of me and make me scary...!

I enjoy your blog a lot. You seem to have more class. I am over the misogyny of a lot of the PUA/seduction guys out there.

Also I like the emphasis on non verbal communication and playing to your strengths. I am not the type to bullshit my way with girls like some kind of performing seal.
