How to Pick Up Girls Who Are on Vacation

It’s a little-discussed truth among cold approach practitioners: some of the easiest get-togethers you’ll get are girls you pick up on vacation.

Girls on vacation have a lot of things going for them as targets for your affections:

• They crave memorable experiences and stimulation.

• They know no one and are more open to new people.

• They are present: alert, tuned-in, and out of ‘autopilot’.

• Their schedules are typically wide open and available.

• Often they arrived fantasizing about a tryst with a local.

• They unworried about affects upon their reputations.

Compare this to a local girl who’s not on vacation: trapped in her routine, not seeking stimulation, much more closed to new acquaintances (she already has her local group of friends), non-present (running on autopilot), her day and week all planned out, fantasies pushed to the background, ever concerned about the reputation she maintains.

Picking up girls who are on vacation is basically switching your seductions over to easy mode. It’s why ‘pick up girls on vacation’ constitutes several of my recommendations in my guide to the top 7 ways to get laid and raise your notch count. There’s only one problem: how do you find those girls on vacation to pick up… and how to isolate them from the friends they’re vacationing with – then bed them before the vacation ends and they go home?

 

Girls on vacation can be almost anywhere in a city.

However, generally they will tend to cluster in those few well-known tourist-centric locations.

You will particularly want to look for:

• Popular beaches
• Well-known monuments
• Famous museums
• Famous parks
• Activities marketed at tourists (e.g., rafting, parasailing, etc.)
• Hotel bars
• Popular bars and clubs near the ‘hotel area’
• Large, popular malls near the ‘hotel area’

I have known playboys who specialized in day gaming in big, famous parks or around national monuments in their cities, because it was just so easy to pick up girls on vacation there. Beach pickup is another popular daytime avenue for sourcing vacationing lovers.

For night gamers, hotel bars, plus major bars and clubs in the part of town where the major hotels and hostels are, tend to be the best spots for vacationing vixens.

You should not expect to find girls on vacation in any sort of out-of-the-way or eclectic venue. Yes, occasionally you’ll meet a vacationing girl at some tiny dive bar in an obscure part of town, because the friend she was visiting told her she knew she’d love this place – and she does. In fact, go out enough to obscure places and you will hook up with girls like this! Random vacationing girls you picked up in some off-the-beaten-path venue you’d never have expected to run into one at. But just because you meet (and pick up) a handful of such girls now and again does not mean out-of-the-way, off-the-beaten-path venues are consistent spots to meet vacationers – they very rarely are.

(instead, what it means is that vacationing girls are so much more receptive to being picked up that even though there are far fewer of them in any given venue, they represent a percent of the girls you pick up in that venue disproportionate to their number. That’s how much easier to seduce these girls are compared to non-vacationing locals!)

Very often, the types of places you’ll come to favor as places to pick up, niche-wise, may not be the same places it’s easiest to find and bed tourist girls.

Working in the Tourism Industry

Work in the tourism industry is one of the few real ‘cheat codes’ to heaps of easy lays that exist in the game. It’s very common for men working in tourism to ‘bat above their average’ with their lays from their work in tourism. Just as a few examples:

• I knew a skilled nightlife seducer who actually started his seduction career as a fire dancer at tropical beach parties. He had loads of tourist girls approaching him in awe at his fire dancing skills and honed his initial social and seduction skills from a high value position of drunk girls in bikinis on vacation approaching him at night to fawn all over him in front of loads of other fawning drunk girls in bikinis.

• I had a student attend a pickup workshop a partner and I ran in San Diego, California, who was a hostel owner. The guy was short, overweight, rather garishly dressed, and struck me as grumpy and uncharismatic. However, other students at the workshop who knew him attested he’d laid many girls who were staying in his hostel, and throughout his time on the bootcamp his phone was constantly going off, many people messaging him, including girls. He ultimately left early to attend a house party (presumably with more vacationing chicks from his hostel).

• One of our forum members/moderators, and sometime contributor to Girls Chase named Frankie started out as a tour guide in Lisbon, Portugal taking vacationing girls all over town. Despite his unpolished social skills at the beginning, he racked up IIRC 60 or 70 lays over his years as a tour guide, and was able to transition later to day game based on the experience and social skills training he’d had running tours. Aside from these examples from guys I’ve known, I’ve also chatted with various tour operators and guys working in the tourism industry about their experiences with women. Just generally speaking you can tell guys who’ve worked in tourism a while have ‘instincts’; they home in right away on the most receptive girls – the same ones you’ll go for as a skilled seducer (as opposed to the absolute ‘hottest’ girls, who may be just trying to pose rather than actually being available… of course sometimes the hottest girls are also the most receptive girls!).

The point is: if you want to max out your pick ups on girls who are on vacation, one dead simple way to do that is to get a job in the tourism industry – in particular, a job that attracts lots of young female tourists (i.e., don’t take a job working a cruise that attracts mostly senior citizens… I mean, unless grannies are your thing…).

 

Relocating to Tourist Neighborhoods & Tourist Towns

Another way to max out your tourist girl exposure is to relocate to neighborhoods that attract lots of tourists… or even relocate to a tourist town.

The biggest hotspot for tourists in the United States, for instance, is Las Vegas. Girls go to Vegas to party, have random encounters, and make scandalous memories that won’t affect their reputations back home because no one back home will know. They’ve even made it the official Las Vegas slogan: “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.” Just go to the strip to ame and you’ll meet tourist girls from all over the U.S. – and indeed all over the world. Step into a shop? Filled with tourists. Café or restaurant? Tourists. Park? Tourists. Casino? Tourists. Mall? Tourists. Small bar? Tourists. Mega nightclub? Tourists.

The same can be said for other party destinations, like Cancun, Mexico (classic spring break location); Los Cabos, Mexico; Koh Phangon, Thailand (home to the Full Moon Party); Mallorca, Spain; Mykonos, Greece; and dozens of other party locations around the world.

From there you have bustling tourist cities that aren’t party locations, like Miami Beach in Miami, Florida, and the beaches of Nice, France. San Diego, CA qualifies to an extent, though it’s more remote than Miami is (both Americans and Europeans vacation in Miami, for instance; San Diego is much farther than Miami, however, and attracts far fewer Europeans). Cities without beaches but that are big, famous capital cities attract lots of tourists: New York City, London, Paris – these are all tourist hubs.

Within cities, some places are much more frequented by tourists than others. You can meet plenty of tourists in Pacific Beach and the Gaslamp District of San Diego; but head down to Imperial Beach (which the locals have dubbed ‘Venereal Beach’) or National City (locally dubbed ‘Nasty City’) and you’ll meet next-to-none.

If you’re considering a move, and you’d like to be able to pick up girls who are on vacation more often, take some time to figure out which parts of town attract the most tourist girls – and look at moving into or near those areas.

You’ll make life simpler for yourself!

 

Hopefully you’ve followed along to this point and ventured to somewhere in your town or city that attracts a goodly amount of tourist girls. Step #1 accomplished!

However… now you still need to identify them, seduce them, and pick them up.

How can you recognize the vacationers from the locals? How can you isolate a vacationing girl from her friend (or friends)? How do you manage to maneuver her into bed before her flight out of town (and out of your life)?

Those are all questions we need to answer before we can say we well know how to pick up girls who are on vacation.

 

Identifying Girls on Vacation

Here are some things to look for that will help you spot girls who are vacationing:

• Any girl who is taking a lot of pictures. If she’s with friends and they’re ALL taking lots of pictures, this is an even bigger sign. If they’re taking pictures of the scenery and not just selfies, it’s almost guaranteed they’re visitors rather than locals.

• Any girl who is asking for directions. If she’s a local, she’s usually going to be going places she already knows. If she goes somewhere new, it’ll usually be with friends who are taking her there. Girls asking for directions tend to be non-locals a fairly large amount of the time.

• Any girl with a noticeable accent. Whether an accent from another country or just a different region from your own country, if she has an accent she’s either a transplant or a visitor. Chat her up and find out which it is!

• Any girl who simply does not look like she belongs. If she’s an uncommon skin shade or race for your area; if she’s dressed in a style of dress that doesn’t match the region or scene; or if her behavior seems somehow different compared to the locals, there’s a fair chance she’s a visitor.

• Girls with suitcases who are checking their phones a lot. Sometimes they will just be returning home from a trip. But often they are girls who have just arrived, who are ON a trip (to your area).

• If you overhear her talking about itineraries, travel plans, or monuments. She is or was visiting things tourists do. Fair chance she’s not from there.

• If she seems very high energy, very alert, very curious, or very sociable. Girls on vacation tend to be more present, taking in more of their surroundings, more responsive to other people, out of their routines and out of autopilot. If you just look for curious, energetic girls you can raise your odds of encountering vacationers. If you see a girl who’s happily talking to man after man (at a bar or a park or a beach), she’s probably a vacationer – locals tend to keep their approach walls higher and won’t be as receptive to each man in a string of men who approaches.

Not every girl who’s on vacation is going to be obvious about it. But if you look for these signs, you’ll be able to capture a lot of the girls who are – and save yourself some time approaching as you try to figure out who the best targets are.

 

Approaching Girls on Vacation

If you’re specifically screening for vacationing girls, you can lead with this as your opener. I’ve done this plenty of times, especially if I noticed one of the signs above and thought a girl / group of girls might be vacationers. All you have to say is this: “Excuse me, are you girls on vacation?”

If they are, you get an excited “yes”, followed by them telling you how much they love it here, or how confused they are, or asking you how you could tell.

If they aren’t, you’ll usually just get a laugh and a “no, we’re from here!” and then (if they’re interested) questions about what made you think that or whether you’re on vacation yourself.

Either way it leads to some interesting conversation, and right from the start you’ve established whether these are girls on vacation you can pick up, or if they’re locals (who you still might be able to pick up anyway!).

 

Isolating Girls on Vacation

The big challenge with girls on vacation (that isn’t always a challenge) is how to isolate a vacationing girl from her friends so you can pick her up.

Sometimes you’ll luck out, and get one of these situations:

• Your vacationer girl is a lone wolf and you don’t have to worry about isolating her from friends (this is more common in day game than night game).

• Your vacationer girl is out with a local friend who leaves her alone with you as soon as she feels safe enough doing so and convinced her friend likes you.

• Your vacationer girl is out with a group of people who all get drunk or party or do tourist stuff and go their separate ways, leaving her alone with you because they’re all too busy with their own things to keep track of her.

When you find yourself in one of these auto-isolating scenarios, rejoice! You’ve landed a freebie.

However, other times you will not be so lucky. Your girl may be with a tight group of people trying to keep close tabs on where everyone is and not lose anyone. Or she may be with a single girlfriend who doesn’t want to leave her side – whether because she’s worried about her friend or she’s worried about being left alone in an unfamiliar town.

Alek Rolstad’s guide to escalating on girls who are part of a two-set is worth checking out for general isolation/escalation with two-girl group scenarios. The simple fact is if she’s on vacation with just one friend, you may need to bring the friend along with you. It helps if you have a wingman.

There’s an old Money Matteo lay report from back in the day (on the now-defunct mASF forums) where he approached a pair of big-bosomed girls on vacation in a shop on the Las Vegas strip, and ended up bringing the two around with him all day, to eat food, see the sights, go to clubs, and finally back to their hotel room for a cold approach threesome. This is rare though (then again, it’s also rare to even try… how many times have you tried to pull off a threesome with two girls on vacation? You need to try it enough times to know exactly what the hit rate is!); usually you are going to need to get one girl away from her friend.

Often the easiest way to do this is to either meet up with her one-on-one later once the rest of her party is back at the hotel, or if you think she’s a hot lead you can always chance it and spend the day/evening with her in the hopes you can get everyone else back to their place as you pull her to yours.

You can often get girls to help you with logistics by simply posing logistical challenges to them and giving them a chance to solve them. For instance, if it’s going well with a girl but you’re having trouble isolating her, you can always just ask her, “I’m having a really great time with you, but it’d be nice to talk to you more one-on-one. I don’t want to leave your friend by herself though. What can we do?”

This is also where having a wingman comes in handy – or in having a cool buddy or two you can text who can come out to wing you when needed. I have several times sent texts to buddies of mine along the lines of, “Hey man, got two good-looking girls here from out of town who both are in really good moods right now. We’re at [LOCATION]. You free/interested in popping over to take one of them off my hands?” I only do that when logistics aren’t resolving themselves properly and the girls seem very down for it… and don’t always have a cool buddy who is down to swing by. But when I do, and the buddy shows up, it can save the day and get you and him laid.

Here's a tip if you want to use this strategy: you just tell the girls, “Hey, we’ve got two awesome girls and only one awesome guy here. We need to get another cool guy to join this party. Let’s take a pic together and I’ll see if my friend can come out.” Then you tell both girls to look as sexy as possible and take a pic with you in the middle of the two chicks and send that to your friend. Gets a much higher response rate IMO. When he can see the girls and they are looking sexy, it’s much more motivating than just having you claim to have a girl for him.

Tip #2: don’t describe the friend to your girls at all. That way you can text one friend, and if he’s not available you switch to another friend. I still don’t describe the friend until he’s just about in the door, because on occasion I’ve had guys cancel midway there and needed to switch to another wing. You don’t want to sell them on one guy, then that guy can’t make it and you need to tell them that then sell them on another guy… it feels like he’s the backup guy and not as good as the first guy. You want them feeling like they got the Choice #1 guy every time – so just don’t tell them who he is until he’s arriving/parking/etc.

 

Picking Up Girls on Vacation & Laying Them (Before Time’s Up!)

Our penultimate consideration is how to pick up a girl who is on vacation and lay her before time’s up – and she’s out of town on the next flight out, possibly never to return again.

The temporariness of her stay is both your helper and your hinderer when it comes to laying vacationing girls. That temporariness is what gives you all those advantages you have with her we laid out at the start of this article. However, it also means you have a limited window of time in which to lay her… and once that window shuts, she is gone.

You can always try and keep in touch with her and hope she ends up in your town again. Or vacation in her town a year or two from now and try to link up then.

The vast majority of the time though, if you don’t lay her while she’s vacationing in your town the time you meet her, that’s it; it’s the only chance you’ll get.

Solution: you need to move faster!

As soon as you find out a girl’s on vacation, you need to start screening her for logistics:

• How much longer is she in town?
• What day and time does she leave?
• Where is she staying (hotel, hostel, or friend’s place)?
• Who is she staying with?
• What else does she have planned for the rest of the trip?

You want to ask these questions a bit spread out in conversation so it comes across smoothly. See that article I just linked on screening girls for logistics to see how to do this.

If she’s leaving very soon OR she has a really tightly packed itinerary for the rest of the trip, you need to either lay her ASAP or find out from her if there’s a chance to squeeze in some time with her before the end of her trip. For instance, she might be in your town, then leaving tomorrow morning to take a tour through some other cities, then back in your town five days later for an evening, flying home the next day. That means you have two possible windows to lay her: tonight, and the night after she returns, before the end of the trip, five days from now. You need to decide if you think you can lay her now or want to try to schedule with her for later.

If you won’t try to lay her tonight, then take her contact information and keep moving. You gain nothing from spending all day/night hanging out with her, then not laying her, hoping to see her again in five days. A lot of these girls will flake, so all you get is frustrated.

Instead, either lay her that day/night (in which case it is okay to keep spending time with her if she is compliant and you’re pretty sure you can do it), or just take her contact info and plan to meet back up with her in five days.

Girls’ friends tend to either be cooler OR more defensive about their friends while on vacation. You being smooth, charismatic, and likeable is extra important here because you don’t want cockblocks. Girls’ friends will be cool about them going with you on vacation IF:

• They trust that you are a cool dude who will keep their friend safe.

• They aren’t worried about being alone THEMSELVES.

• It isn’t the case that the girl you want is in a relationship and the friend likes the guy her friend is in a relationship with a lot and views it as her duty to defend the relationship.

On that last point: you will get girls on vacation where the friends are both fine with hooking up despite having boyfriends or even husbands. On the other hand, you will get the ‘slut + good girl’ pairings where the one girl is trying to have sex despite being attached, meanwhile the other friend is trying to stop her because she doesn’t want her friend to hurt the guy she’s with, or she doesn’t want her friend to ruin her relationship, etc. How you proceed here is down to your morals. I don’t generally have a problem laying girls who will willingly cheat on boyfriends; I will not knowingly sleep with married women, however.

Anyway, if her friend is not trying to help, but instead hinder, your pickup attempt, you will need to decide if it’s worth trying to navigate around the friend or if your efforts are better spent elsewhere. Sometimes it’s just not worth the hassle, especially if there are other good seduction prospects who don’t come with cockblocking friends.

That said, if she’s really hot or really down or simply the best option available, there are ways to get around cockblocking friends. You should include your girl in the process though; for instance, tell her, “I really like you and want to keep spending time together but I think your friend’s trying to run interference. What can we do?”

The answer to that question tends to tell you how serious your girl is about it. If she starts working together with you to devise a plan, you’re in good shape. If she just shrugs and doesn’t seem to care, she probably just wants your attention – and it’s better if you move on to more interested prospects.

 

Dates with Girls on Vacation

Our last thing to cover: meeting up a second time with girls who are on vacation!

If when you meet her she needs to run off to her next tourism engagement, or she’s with a group of people you just can’t get her away from, you might need to resort to meeting up with her at a later time.

That is, you’ll need to get her phone number and set up a date.

It’s generally easier to get vacationer girls out onto dates if the date itself has a bit of the exotic to it:

• You are going to show them a cool little bar only locals know about.

• You are going to take them to a neat little monument tourists never see.

• You are going to take them to try some local dish they’ve never tasted before.

The one risk is that the date sounds so cool and neat she decides to invite all her vacation companions. Thus, it’s important that you have a good romantic/sexual vibe going on with her the first time you meet her, and that you make the date idea something small and intimate, not some big, grand thing it’d be a shame for the others to miss.

You can seed the date idea before you leave her the first time.

For example, you meet a girl at a national monument with a tour group. You have a great chat filled with attraction, but she has to move on – the rest of the group is moving. She’s going to have some free time tomorrow night though. You tell her you’d like to show her a small little bar that the locals all love. She says that sounds great. You take her contact info to set the date.

That night, you text her to set the time for the date the following evening and to tell her where to meet.

The next day, she texts to ask if she can bring one of her friends along. You text her, “Hey! Actually this place is pretty small and I was kinda hoping we could meet just the two of us. I’ve been doing a lot of group stuff lately and just really want to do some one-on-one stuff. Let me know if that’s okay.” She texts back that that’s fine, and meets up with you one-on-one – dressed to kill and looking thrilled to meet you. Mission accomplished!

(well, mostly. You still need to run an excellent date and bed the girl!)

Just remember the secrets: something local, something small, and try to make sure it’s one-on-one.

 

Now you know how to pick up girls who are on vacation. The full ins and outs. All the little details that the guys who are best at picking up vacationing women know like the back of their hands.

As a summary:

1. You want to go to where vacationing girls are. This means those parts of your town that attract the most vacationers in your demographic (i.e., young and single). Better still if you can live in such an area (if you want to do lots of easy volume). You may also want to change to a resort city or another city that attracts many vacationers if you’re really committed to racking up loads of vacationer lays. A job in the tourism industry is another option for filling up your vacation girl pipeline.

2. There are certain signs and behaviors you can look for to recognize girls who are on vacation. Look for these and make your life picking up girls on vacation easier.

3. You can ask girls even on the approach if they’re on vacation. Do this if you think they are, and know right from the get-go what you’re dealing with.

4. Isolating girls on vacation can be easy or hard, depending on who they are with and how their ‘co-vacationers’ feel about you – or about being alone without the girl you want to peel off. It’s best to try to find this out fairly quick so you don’t waste time – or bring out a wingman who can take over with the friend.

5. For picking up girls on vacation, time is of the essence – you need to lay her during whatever time she has available (and if she has a packed itinerary and many social obligations that may not be much). Thus it’s crucial to find out a.) what her schedule looks like and b.) what her accommodations and roommate situation look like.

6. If you can’t pick her up then and there, you’re going to need to plan a date. To do so, find a cool little ‘local flavor’ thing you can do with her, that will be small and intimate (so she doesn’t invite everybody else she’s on vacation with), and plan it for a time she tells you she’ll be available. Make sure you have time to lay her on the date!

Vacationing girls can be some of the easiest girls to get together with – and it gets even easier when you know how to find them, spot them, and get around the obstacles you can face with them.

If you’re a guy with a fair bit of experience picking up girls already, look back on your previous lays and count how many came from girls who were on vacation. You might be surprised (assuming that you live/frequent somewhere tourist girls go) what percent of your lays come from such girls (especially if you never paid much attention to it before)!
