Mass unemployment has led to a rise in sugar dating. And if you can’t pay for sex, past lovers offer relief for guys unable to work their normal game in a pandemic.
Part 1 of this series explored how dating might change after the pandemic. While it is speculative (note: I want to be very clear, this is all speculation), I think there are important recent trends that indicate where society is heading, and how dating will evolve.
To be clear, there will not be a fundamental shift in how attraction and mating works. Game is game, what’s attractive will remain attractive, and what men and women want will stay the same. Women still want great lovers, great sex, great experiences, and great boyfriends. Don’t think that somehow because of the present lull, the mechanics of dating and courtship will never be the same again.
In many ways, I think dating will be the same, but some major trends could influence your opportunities and strategies to meet and date women.
Here’s what we covered in Part 1:
-
The disappearance of office space, and the rise of the work from home culture. Fewer people are commuting, with more on-the-go, flexible schedules, flexible travel, and home-away setups.
-
Potential depopulation, more affordable cities.
-
The decline of business travel.
-
Increasing reliance on online dating. If it’s not your primary method of meeting women in the good times, at minimum, have a functional online dating profile during the bad times.
Now let's cover the impact of COVID-19 and technology on dating. We’ll start with an interesting growing trend in the market: the rise of sugar baby game and sugar dating.

Optimistic about feminism
Love your optimism on feminism but you misunderstand it at its core. Modern day feminism is a way for ugly women to feel better about themselves and cut down the competition, why else are they so against prostitution in the US? A pretty woman making money off of her good looks? Not going to sit well with the manatees in liberal land.
I don't think feminists are
I don't think feminists are against prostitution because good looking women are making money by selling their bodies, it's because they think it's degrading to women. Of course without taking into consideration, that usually no one is forcing those girls so they can blame men. Cutting competition is a major theme with feminists too (lowering the bar so they don't have to level up), but i don't think prostitution is a good example, very few women do it compared to the average population and not because they couldn't, but because they don't want to.

Regardless of this subset of
Regardless of this subset of feminists, I feel confident that ASD is going down and the next generation of women overall has far more comfort with casual sex and NSA, as well as sex for money discreetly.
Alternative game venues
I think that for some men, the online option and the option of going back to pre-existing lovers are not there. I think I am an example as I don’t tick the boxes and am unlikely to get responses online from the kind of women I am interested in. Even though last year I felt like I was getting better at night game and had several near misses I didn’t have any leads going into the lockdown period. It would be good to see an article on meeting women and practising daygame even under the current circumstances. Even though it may be a limited option right now, it might be the only option for many men.
