Where are the women who like short men?

I used to watch this cartoon called “Invader Zim.” It’s about a jerk alien who’s one of the shortest in a society that places high status on the tallest members. The leaders of the race are actually called “The Tallest.”

The joke is obviously aimed at us, the human race, and our predisposition to give status to the big and tall. It’s tied to our DNA, I suppose. Men like women with thin waists, wide hips, and big breasts for baby-rearing. Women like big, tall, strong men to protect them from wild beasties in the night. We haven’t evolved all that much.

Does that mean if you’re under five feet tall, you’re doomed to dating other Hobbits? Are you going to be stuck traveling the yellow brick road, forever limited to other Oompa Loompas? Don’t fret little one.

Today I’m going to alleviate the insecurities of the countless vertically-challenged men seeking confirmation that they’re not doomed to a life of AI sex dolls and Cheetos. There's plenty of hope for your dating as a short man.

Yes, there are women who like dating short men. It’s not a niche you’ll find on porn sites (I’ve never looked), but thanks to something we call having “game,” any man can rise above (snicker) the competition.

 

Short Guys Can Do Great, Too

Just like there are men who like small breasts, there are women who prefer shorter men. Even if you don’t prefer big breasts, a woman may have other physical features like a pretty face, long legs, or beautiful hips, that compensate for her lack of naughty pillows.

Not to say tall men don’t have an advantage. Women are genetically programmed to like taller men, the way we’re attracted to feminine-looking women. But we’re not all slaves to our genetic programming.

There are beautiful women of all sizes, and many don’t want to have sex with a man whose unit could break her in half. Or they don’t want to stand on a milk crate for a kiss.

Physicality aside, the women who like short men don’t necessarily have a fetish. They just want a guy who’s fun to be around, who they can trust. They’ll be willing to overlook their height to date a guy like that. I’ve dated many women who were taller than me, and it wasn’t a problem. I got to play with all that leg, and they had a place to rest their beer: on my head.

Would you be surprised if I told you that, while most women like their men taller, there are women out there who don't like standing on stepladders to give their man a kiss?

In fact, the women who like shorter men tend to have a lot of similar characteristics in common.

Look for these six (6) traits and, when you find them, you'll discover you're a lot more likely to have found yourself a woman who likes her men on the shorter side.

 

#1: She's Tall

Tall women want taller men... right?

Well, some of them do.

But tall women have a problem: a lot of guys are scared to date them.

Men approach them less. They view them as more likely to be assertive and dominant. And overall most men prefer shorter girls.

Height has a funny effect on people: while many short people (men and women alike) are obsessed with 'dating up' in terms of height, many tall people don't care.

Some tall guys I know describe themselves as 'height blind'. Some tall girls I know, too.

People tend to deprioritize things that aren't really important to them. If someone is already tall, the genetic pressure on her to find an equally tall mate to have tall children is not as strong as it is on a shorter individual who wants to make sure her children aren't dwarves.

So what you'll find, a lot of the time, is that tall women are actually more open to dating short men than medium-height women and especially short women (short women are the most 'heightest' of all women. If you want to find a girl who wants nothing to do with a short man, a short woman is usually your best bet).

To escape the heightism of short girls, try approaching a tall girl.

The thing tall women value above all else -- like pretty much every woman -- is male confidence.

And they like confident short men who approach.

 

#2: She's a Mother Hen

I've known a number of short guys with medium-height or taller girlfriends.

And many of those girlfriends have been nurturers.

They made the guys sandwiches for lunch at work, and rushed his lunch over if he forgot it.

They'd fawn over him, fussing with his hair or clothes (as he brushed them off or ignored them).

The women who when they go out to the bars are busily making sure their girlfriends don't get too drunk or too catty with each other or hook up with the wrong guys are also some of the most likely women to be open to a short guy.

If you want an easy way to test this out, the next time you're somewhere social and you see a girl mothering over the other women in her group, if you're a short guy, make a beeline for her.

Of all the women in her group, she's the one most likely to be down with a ride to short man town.

 

#3: She's a Rebel

Girls whose identities revolve around 'not caring what people think' will often look for ways to showcase their rebellion in whom they date.

They go for guys they aren't supposed to be with... bad boys, tatted up men, men with criminal histories, guys who are unemployed, men of different races, and so on.

And sometimes they go for short guys.

Women with a rebellious streak are in general a lot more likely to be open to dating short guys than are women who conform. A conformist woman wants to be seen doing all the acceptable things, and dating the most acceptable mate choice. A man shorter than her is not acceptable to the conformist girl.

But to the girl who rebels against conformity?

A short man can be just what she had in mind.

 

#4: Her Dad Is Short

If she loves her father and she has a good relationship with him, and he too is a shorty, you might just have hit the jackpot.

Women with good relationships with their fathers seek mates who remind them of their fathers.

If she comes from dimnuitive stock, your odds are good she won't sneeze just because you might get knocked down in a breeze.

Now, you're not always going to be able to identify a woman with short parentage by eyeballing her.

So this trait may not be as helpful to look for when out in the field.

Nevertheless, should you know what her ancestry looks like, you may just be able to clue yourself in to another girl who won't object so much to a man who happens to be a little bit under-height.

 

#5: She's on the Rebound

A woman's usual standards go out the window on the rebound.

Sure, she might usually look for tall, rich, good-looking guys as boyfriends.

But when she's just crashed out of a relationship with a guy, she isn't looking for her ideal mate.

Instead, she just wants someone who can make her feel good again.

A woman in this stage is far more concerned with a man's personality and how he makes her feel than a woman at pretty much any stage of her dating process.

If you're a short guy, but you can make her feel what she wants to feel, the height difference is not going to seem so great to her then and there.

 

#6: She's Very Family-Oriented

Women who love their families, and who imagine futures for themselves filled with heaps of children, tend to be more focused on the man's family-orientation itself, and not as much on the more superficial characteristics less family-oriented women more greatly prize.

That doesn't mean every family-oriented woman is okay with a shorter man.

However, in my experience these women are a lot more likely to be okay being the taller one if everything else about the man is what they want -- that is to say, if what he's looking for (family) is the same thing they are.

 

Conclusion

There are plenty of women out there who either don't care much about height, or even actively prefer men shorter than themselves. Once you know what traits to look for, you can sift more easily through the women who are out there and pick out the ones most likely to want you.

When it comes to attracting women, it’s most important that you love and believe in yourself. Women loathe male weakness, in body, mind, and spirit. So even if you’re a little shorter than you’d like, you can develop qualities that will make you appear taller than the tallest mountain.

You are what you believe you are. For every man, there’s a niche of women that prefer you. You just have to get out there and find her. Put on your shoes, go outside and find her.
