Answer 'What Do You Do' Without Saying What You Do
To avoid boring people out when they ask a question like “What do you do?” try answering the question without really answering it.

Learning the nuances of the most basic social norms is something most people don’t give much thought to.

In college, I remember spending a lot of time contemplating how to respond to that weird “Hey, how are you?” exchange that happens when you pass someone you know. Most of the time, they say “Good, how are you?” and don’t even listen as they walk past. Responding with “Good, thanks” is a necessary but useless response.

How do you make those interactions more interesting and less awkward?

I took the time to figure that out, and it helped a lot.

The same goes for the question, “What do you do?”

If you approach a lot of girls – which you should if you want to get dates, sex, and girlfriends – then you’re going to hear “What do you do?” a lot.

It will also come in other forms.

“What do you do for work?”

“What do you do for a living?”

“Where do you work?”

Your answer won’t change much, regardless. As long as you understand the basic root of what they’re asking, answering is simple.

So, what’s going on when someone asks “What do you do?” and how do you respond to it in a way that makes you interesting and cool?

Here are nine ways to do it without giving the typical, boring answer of what you actually do.

First, let’s go over why it’s boring to tell girls what you do – most of the time.

The asshole answer has long been a favorite of mine .What do you do? All kinds of things, what about you?

Not really a lie since I'm a bit of a hobby junkie and allows me to talk about some of those hobbies instead. Hobbies that are leaps and bounds better than my boring ole job

It never fails, really, unless you're already having attainability issues. At the worst, it's a lame bait where she goes, 'Ok really, tell me."

Want to make her wet? I'll show you how.

Hadn't thought of that, but yeah I have had that a few times. Never thought anything of it, oops lol

I'llkI'll an eye out for it and see what happens, good looking out!

Hey Hector,

Wanted to ask you a few questions,

1. What would you recommend to do to sleep with a lot of girls on campus, but don't want to join a frat? Would cold approaching work best to you?

2. Is there anything I have to do differently since I'm a lil older? Or would I just approach the same?

3. I'm also working on my shit and don't have my own place atm. You have any advice on where I can bring these girls to sleep with them?

4. What tips would you have for having tough skin on starting a youtube channel? I worry about things in the past being brought up to make me look bad and I worry about negative comments.

Thanks

Hector,

What do you tell women if you either have no job or have a job that isn't good? What should your answer be?

Depending on your personality you can go quite a few different directions with this one

To start, you want to avoid any answer where it seems like this happened to you. Any answer has to be because you chose it, or it happened for you

So for example, what's the difference between:

1) I lost my job

Against

2) I left my job

It's choice and control over your own life. So thats the first mentality ya have to have. That you aren't worried because you chose this or it happened for you. Like life is looking out for you

As for the answer you can go with something like:

Right now I'm looking for the next step. Something that will set my soul on fire. My last job used to be like that but then it came time where it wasn't doing what I needed it to do for me. Then go on to describe what you want or are looking for using descriptive emotional language whenever possible

But it has to mean something to you. What are your interests? What are your needs with a job (besides money)? Once you figure that out you'll have an easier time looking for it for one, and for two women can respect that a lot more than you not having a job

Buuuuuut, you could also go with the asshole answer instead and just tell her you're a professional bum lol. Just make sure to say it with a wink and a smile or something so she knows you are joking. Then turn the answer back around on her.

Feel free to steal my own answer that I use: I do way too much and not enough of it. What about you? Tell me what kinds of mischief you get into

So what is the answer if I am a software engineer in a town full of them?

I tried the asshole approach but then they just push again. I'm not sure what do say.

Also, should i make up a funny job title for my online profile?
