Busy, waiting, or boxed in? If done right, being on your smartphone can be a powerful tool to intrigue and attract women.

A common target of social criticism these days is our obsession with phones. You’ve seen those trite, hipster videos about how all we do is stare at our screens, how we live in a fast-paced, consumerist society, which has caused us to lose touch with in-person communication, leading to our lacking social skills.

I don’t buy it. For a while, I did. It makes sense. We do live in a disposable society that throws things away when they’re no longer needed. Chase elegantly pointed that out in his article on how some guys feel like disposable dicks-on-sticks.

However, he also pointed out how this disposability goes both ways, affecting women, too.

There’s always a flip-side.

What? Wasn't there an article a few years back, I think written by Chase, on how being a man who is present means to use your phone minimally? That you would never see James Bond scrolling through his phone?

Being present is good. You can be present while you're on your phone. I'm not advocating sitting on your phone for an hour lol. I know plenty of studs do this. But there is something not "present" about it obviously, since guys are bad at multi-tasking in general, but that's what is cool about it - you're "out" and people will want to pull you in, aka interest.

Have pulled it off myself tons of times, hence why I wrote the article.

Here's the secret: if it works, it works.

There's no one watching you and scoring your performance. What matters is results.

This is especially good form in social circle situations. Some of the coolest guys I know stay on the fringe of group hangouts when they're not in the spotlight and then close when someone comes into their web. James Bond probably wouldn't be on his phone since the only time he uses them is for communication with MI6 and doesn't want to leave himself vulnerable to a hack lol.

I usually enjoy Hector's writing, but this article doesn't seem good at all. I know coming up with articles to write isn't easy but c'mon man! also that stupid robot verify thing with the road signs is a bitch and takes forever

It's a shame you didn't see the value of this post, but that's okay. Go give a try and see if it works. Results are what matter.

"If all reality is an illusion, which I maintain it is…" -Hector

Another book for you (if you haven't already read it)…

I respectfully submit you are the master in the domain of women (at least between you and me), and that's why I'd love your opinion on the content of this book.

I've intentionally broken Chase's rule of not being on my phone pretty much every night out… what else can I do?!

What does a guy do when he perceives no IOI's, has already placed himself in a certain spot, and he has no one to converse with at the moment?

I like bars with TV's so I can at least pretend to be interested in baseball (which is almost not pretending anymore). There's a feeling of empowerment in not giving a shit and just doing what makes you happy in the moment. Being immersed in a non-girl-getting activity drops your anxiety over girls, and that increases your attractiveness.

I have experienced girls coming on to me after deep immersion in my phone (or TV). Solid looks and solid passive fundamentals probably play a big role here, both of which I have.

Active game (good conversation) is another story... );

"Illusion" is only a valid concept in contrast to what's real. Saying that reality is an illusion is a contradiction in terms.
