great place to meet girls at
How do you know if a place is good to meet girls at? Look for these 10 signs: girls out-dress guys, girls are fitter than guys, female body art, and more.

In my series on ‘game imbalance hypothesis’ – that some places are easier to meet girls than others, and that harder places train their men to have more skill at bedding and dating women – I discussed how to operate in hard and easy environments. You can read the three articles in the Game Imbalance series below:

  1. Game Imbalance Hypothesis
  2. Navigating Highly Competitive Sexual Markets
  3. Locating Good Low Competition Sexual Markets

Today I wanted to do a follow up post that asks: how else do you recognize if a place is good for meeting girls?

First off, if you haven’t read at least article #3 above, make sure you read that one. I cover a lot of signs there that I won’t go over in this article. This article is more about superficial ‘quick scan’ signs you can look for to make a snap judgment about a place. Article #3 above, on locating low competition markets, digs into the deeper indications a place will be worthwhile (or not). Also be sure to check out Alek Rolstad’s article on choosing the right nighttime spot; if you enjoy nightlife, it’s a must-read.

The ‘quick scan’ signs I’ll go over in this article are all indicators you learn to look for subconsciously once you’ve been at this a while and you’ve grown used to meeting girls in different kinds of environments. They allow you to get a swift feel for the terrain and make a judgment about whether a spot is worth investing your time into, or whether you ought to move on.

I’ve picked up on these over the years as I’ve frequented different venues, different cities, and different cultures and countries. The big benefits of being able to read a situation fast like this is the ability to screen out unproductive locales, but also to endure in productive ones. Due to random variation, sometimes you might strike out the first few girls you approach in what will otherwise be a terrific place for you. If you know it should be good, it’s easier to weather these bumps without writing a place off prematurely.

Notes in mind, let’s get to our ten (10) signs a place is great to meet girls at.

Chase,

There you go again with that "horny, uncivilized migrant" nonsense. I'm a German, born and raised. It's so silly to me that your American media spoon feeds you click-bait about refugees running around raping women. Do you really think that's what's going on? I know many, many migrants here, and they're some of the most humble and upstanding people I've ever met - way more humble than most obnoxious Americans and Brits. Chase, I think you're buying too much into the Trump mindset. Please educate yourself on this matter, as those nonsense stories about people running around raping women is not at all the case here. I lost a great deal of respect for you, as I thought you would have a more civilized and cultured view of this topic.

I was in Germany this summer, in the nicest part of Berlin. My host informed me that break-ins had gone through the roof, but stopped just short of saying why, exactly. We both knew. And we both knew if he said it out loud, and I felt so inclined, I could've had him investigated by the police and made his life a lot more difficult, if not had him locked up.

The German Lügenpresse now is as bad as it was in Weimar Germany. My German friends are pretty much all in agreement with this. I know a lot of Germans, and they all have this ridiculous intrinsic self-loathing guilt they've been inculcated with since infancy for the sins of their grandfathers.

Germany is a very unwell nation.

As for your argument, when your only retort is to label someone you disagree with racist, uncivilized, or uncultured in an attempt to silence them, you make clear to any thoughtful individual that the facts are not on your side.

Hey Chase,
i have to agree with Eric, though i wouldn't call you a racist for what you wrote, but poorly informed. "Lügenpresse" is a word that is mostly used by a rather new, right wing party in germany, to discredit our state run media (frankly all the media that doesn't share their ideas) and which is trying to capitalize on the current refugee crisis by exploiting people's natural fear of the new and unknown, while many of these people are on the lower side of income and education. Your usage of that word makes it very clear which spirits you got your information from.
And while i don't think our state run media is 100% completely unbiased (still humans making news) and there are many things that i think are wrong with our current system that finances this media, it's very, very far away from being like back in the dark days.

What is happening in Germany right now is a bad thing, there are many people who are unhappy about their financial situation and then someone comes along and says "Look! That minority is to blame! These refugees, taking all our money and raping our women". We saw the likes happen in Germany once before and we have to guard against that happening again vigilantly. NEVER MUST WE FORGET! As you said in another article, history repeats itself over and over again. IF YOU DON'T LEARN FROM IT. That's why in Germany there is still what you call "intrinsic self-loathing guilt". If we stop remembering, it's only a question of time before shit hits the fan again, because people always find "others" who are to blame for something.

And while i am not very fond of the way our government naively let over a million people (not millions!) from another culture and a place that is also a major war zone in our country, i think we do deserve the respect for taking care of these people, the majority of them not being people running around and raping our women, but rather fleeing this kind of horror. And to be frank, hearing american's criticizing the europeans for helping these people, after their government has played a major role in destabilizing the middle east is somewhat ironic, but hey, at least they wished us good luck.

Also Berlin is full of crime, just like almost any other city of considerable size. And yes, break-ins are on the rise, but the majority is carried out by professional, managed groups from eastern europe, not refugees.

But, back to the nice things. Glad to hear you're still visiting Berlin from time to time. Any chance you could give a talk or a workshop in Berlin? If you're just over for vacation i completely understand, but let me buy you a couple beers at least ;)

Greetings from cold and rainy Berlin,

PR-

Certainly, I know what Lügenpresse means. I used the term very specifically. It amazes me there can be things like this in Germany:

... where German women are assaulted by guests of the nation, and the German police end up searching for not the migrant attackers, but the individual who leaked the video about the migrant attackers. Mustn't have the public see too many of these things, now.

I've seen similar videos from China, Thailand, and the U.S., where a native woman is attacked by foreigners. In every case, the native population erupts in fury, the attackers are rapidly imprisoned, then deported, and quite often immigration restrictions (or at least feverish talk of them) follow close behind. In Germany, they talk about how this is just a poor migrant letting off steam and we need to be more understanding and accommodating.

Children are molested by migrants in a swimming pool, migrants are banned, people protest. Migrant ban lifted. So the migrants will get free rein while Germans huddle in their houses. Migrants grope women at German festivals; Oktoberfest attendance falls by half as police presence soars. Migrants get free rein while Germans huddle in their houses. If you cannot protect your women and children, you have failed your most important role as a man. It doesn't matter if the attacker is someone you welcomed into your home. In fact, you should be even angrier - you did him a good turn, and in repayment he did you a bad one.

The German police are specifically instructed not to mention race or national origin when detailing crimes if the suspect is a migrant (wouldn't want to stoke racism - even though migrants are of a variety of races, and some of them even look German), and the mainstream press have a near-blanket-ban on reporting migrant attacks, most of which never come to light anyway because the police can't talk about them.

Here's the problem: everyone who believes this has it completely backwards.

The solution to this is not, "We have to remember how terrible we were so we don't do it again." Adolf Hitler was a pretty bad dude. He wanted to massacre every last Pole and convert Poland into farmland. He killed off 4.5 million Jews. He killed off 13.5 million Soviets. So why did the Germans elect this ruthless man, then love him and support him?

The reason why was because Germany was in a very bad place, in some ways analogous to the one it is becoming now. Its media continually fed it reports about how bad Germans were and how ashamed they needed to be, just like it does now. Its economy was in shambles, and further was controlled by a minority (German Jews) while the majority starved (native Germans). Everywhere you see this (minority control of economy with impoverished majority), it leads to bad outcomes. On top of all this, the Allies had placed monstrous war debts on the crippled German economy it was likely never to get out of.

The reason why Hitler was elected was because he gave Germans a way to throw off their shame and feel powerful again. He said, "You have nothing to be ashamed of. You are GERMANS! You are the strongest race in the world!" And when a people feels beaten down, ashamed, and oppressed, this is music to their ears.

All the people who are busily trying to stop another Adolf Hitler from emerging have decided they should push down and humiliate and mind-control the German people, thus seeding identical psychological conditions to those that led to his rise, all over again, a century later.

These people - the academics, the intellectuals, the politicians - consider themselves educated, but are educated only in extremely limited branches of their own narrow fields. They have zero understanding of history or psychology. They're plowing the ground for Hitler II as we speak.

In fact, if you ask me, it looks like the masters of Germany are trying to raise up a Fourth Reich. Because this is the inevitable outcome of the path the country is on now, unless it gets off that path. If their goal is not a Fourth Reich, I can't imagine why else they would be so hurriedly converting Germany into such fertile ground for one.

Once the German people feel beaten down enough, as their guests feel more and more entitled to do what they will; once they are forced to retreat from their old way of life because the country has become too wild and unsafe, once they start to feel like there is no respite, at that point, no amount of scolding about how bad Germans were in the past or how Germans must "not forget" is going to keep them from rushing toward a charismatic strongman who inspires them to believe in themselves and their country.

THIS is history. This is what everyone forgets, and what nations repeat over and over again. Over and over throughout history. Nation becomes weak, nation becomes strong. Nation becomes weak, nation becomes strong. Right now Germany is at the nadir of its national pride. A strong surge in pride typically follows not long after this nadir is reached.

Only this time, Angela Merkel has managed to drag all of Europe with her along the road to shame and oppression, which means when Europe reclaims its balls, it will do so together, instead of parts of it warring with other parts. And it's anyone's guess if it gets a tough-but-kind strongman, like a Charlemagne, who took power from the Merovingian 'do-nothing-kings', or a ruthless one, like a Hitler, who took power from the do-nothing Weimar Germany. When people feel desperate enough, anyone who says the right words gets their vote.

Germany may still stave this off; maybe a moderate gets in and says, "Let's send these people home and focus on being a great country again." But the way Germany is looking now, it's only going to be one extreme or the other. Self-flagellating white knight or ascendant Führer, those seem to be the only realistic options right now. Maybe it'll change though.

i think we do deserve the respect for taking care of these people, the majority of them not being people running around and raping our women, but rather fleeing this kind of horror.

I have great pity for the migrants in Europe who thought they were escaping something bad for something better and came with no ill intentions (and commit no ill acts while there). But they are pawns in a chess game I doubt they'll still be on the board of by the time the game concludes.

I have no respect for Germany or Germans for this (as much as I respect the nation and people for other things, such as its history of invention and innovation), this nation-level white-knighting, any more than I respect an individual white knight who sacrifices himself for an individual damsel in distress. It's everything I tell men NOT to do. There were a million ways to help people in Syria and other countries that did not involve uprooting them (like... setting up a safe zone IN Syria and sending tons of supplies there? Would've been a hell of a lot cheaper + no migrant crisis), pulling them into a foreign nation where they can't integrate with the culture and where there is no work for them, making them be dependent on housing and handouts from the German citizenry which, as generous as it may feel right now, likely won't feel nearly as generous 5 or 10 or 40 years down the road, and ultimately trapping them in dead-end situations where the more rambunctious of their countrymen attack the locals and make them ALL become targets.

The German people used the migrants like pets to assuage their own institutionalized guilt, and the migrants are going to get the worst of it in the end. If you ask me, it's extremely cruel.

Germany, in its rush to prove to the world that it was more than just a bunch of Jew-killing Nazis, has put these poor people in a very bad situation, the worst effects of which will manifest as time passes and the migrants wear out their welcome, yet have nowhere else to go.

This was a clear "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" scenario, in which both the German white knights and the migrant damsels in distress get to be the losers. The damsels leech off the white knights, but ultimately probably are the biggest losers of all, when the white knights either trap them in a situation they can't get out of, or tire of their antics at some point and discard them by the wayside.

Anyway, it's interesting to me from a national psychology standpoint, both how the Germans are using the migrants and how the migrants are using the Germans. It's a very unhealthy dynamic, but in this case you have two desperate groups, one trying to prove its goodness (white knights / Germans), and the other searching for a provider (damsels / migrants), both using each other for their own self-serving devices. So I guess no one's really innocent, save the Germans who didn't want the migrants and the migrants who genuinely wanted to work, integrate, contribute, and become self-reliant. Not much you can do at this point though except sit back and hope these peoples find a way to disentangle themselves that doesn't lead to too many lost or destroyed lives in the process.

I'll close by saying I'm not trying to change any minds here on politics. That's not the domain of this site. However, I do enjoy analysis. And as far as Eric's comment is concerned - I'm going to call it like I see it. There are plenty of nice migrants (I've met some there myself), but you don't invite a prison gang to dinner with your small children because most of them are nice and only a few of them are child molesters. Most people (at least, outside of France, Germany, and Sweden) understand the reference of these third world migrants coming from a much more savage land and having a much more savage nature than their far more accommodating hosts.

But, back to the nice things. Glad to hear you're still visiting Berlin from time to time. Any chance you could give a talk or a workshop in Berlin? If you're just over for vacation i completely understand, but let me buy you a couple beers at least ;)

Cheers, man! I think I'm done with talks / workshops at this point. Trying to get this business in shape over the next year so I can hand it over to the next batch of minds in this space, so mostly grinding that out and adding new pieces to the business.

Maybe I'll take you up on beers though, next time I'm in town. Well, if they're not going to jail me there for writing something other than gleaming praise of migrants on the Internet, that is ;)

Chase,

man, that's a lot to cover. Let me start with the video. As the subtitles in the video correctly say (don't know if you speak any German?), there are procedures in place, that have to be followed before such a video can be made available to the public. That the police were not searching for the attacker while they are searching for the leaker is just not true. Both commited a crime, both are being prosecuted. Just that now there's much higher pressure on the police to get that person, but in comparison with other crimes being commited on a daily basis (stabbings, rape, even shootings), that just wasn't enough for the police to create that kind of public attention at this point. And as far as i know, the attacker was from Bulgaria, not a refugee from Syria or another country that was part of the major refugee stream in 2015.

Also it is right, that in news reports about crimes, the ethnicity/nationality of the criminal is only published in special cases, exactly for the reason not to distort public perception and feed prejudice. Everyone should be equal in front of the law (we know that's not necessarily the case, even in Germany, money always rules), so who cares what ethnicity the person was? If the person is a guest in this country and commits a major crime, it's either prison or deportation anyway. Immigrants are not getting free passes on crime, just because Germany is scared to look nationalist.

In Germany, they talk about how this is just a poor migrant letting off steam and we need to be more understanding and accommodating.

I never heard anybody saying that.

Would've been a hell of a lot cheaper + no migrant crisis)

There's a difference between a guy who thinks he'll get into a girl's pants by carrying her shopping bags and people helping people that are fleeing from a war zone where either terror groups would be chopping off their heads or they'd get killed by their own government. The first is white knighting, the latter is an act of humanity.
Sure there would have been better ways to help these people beforehand, but nobody really saw this coming.

The thing i'm critizising is generalization. Putting a stigma on these refugees and painting them all as religious fanatics (the majority of the fanatics stay in the war zone anyway) or rapists is the dangerous thing.

And we absolutelys HAVE to remember what happened here just 70 years ago, this can happen again anytime, if the circumstances are right. You're right that this cannot be achieved with just steamrolling the parts of the unsatisfied population by claiming moral superiority. This is what has happened in the last years and I think the current popularity of some right wing parties is an indicator for this.

I agree that it was futile to let so many into the country in such a short time, i wouldn't have done that. Immigration has to be a controlled process. But nonetheless, as far as our capacities allow it(!), we should provide shelter for the people who really need it. I recognize that concerning the U.S, many of the conservatives were the first to criticize Germany for their help, yet they call themselves christians. But that's a whole other story.

As for your beers, I'll shoot you an additional email. Have a good one,

Strawman argument. From Wikipedia:

A straw man is a common form of argument and is an informal fallacy based on giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument, while actually refuting an argument that was not advanced by that opponent.[1] One who engages in this fallacy is said to be "attacking a straw man".

The whole "X group does it too, therefore we shouldn't talk about Y group doing it" thing rests on a logical fallacy.

If Y group does something bad at 10x or 100x the rate that X group does it, it is quantifiably and qualitatively different (which doesn't mean it's excusable when people from X group do it, either, but it does mean we know there's a markedly higher incidence among people of Y group... and X group is putting itself in a very vulnerable position if it mingles with Y group while pretending Y group is exactly the same as X group and no different).

'Racism' is a word stripped of meaning in today's world. It used to mean someone who thought his race was superior or another race was inferior. Now it's just used to brand someone a heretic from the religion of anti-racism. I've spent a good third of my life surrounded by people from the savage parts of the world to learn the same edge their environments gave them and shed the timidity a soft Western upbringing instilled in me. And you accuse me of being 'racist', for describing the clash of the marshmallow Europeans against the hardened, jagged Middle Easterners and North Africans.

This may not be the right place for you, if you are this incurious, and this easily triggered.
