The bro code; man code; man law. These tenets go by many names, but the fact is: every man should have a code.

bro code

A code that not only applies to the way in which he conducts himself, but also in which he interacts with his fellow men. Since there could be dozens of possible rules in the entire bro code, I've narrowed it down to 11 key tenets that apply to seduction.

This set of rules is not written in stone (yet), but I think it's a good set of guidelines to ensure maximum cohesion among men, and maximum satisfaction within the individual.

So here they are…

I've learned some fundamentals from the articles, I've already implemented them and constantly improving it. I'm very thankful for that, but that still leaves me incomplete and I can't move to next level. In other words I don't have a method in approaching, create attraction, physical escalation, get sex and getting into a relationship. There must be a linear method to that? a step by step perhaps? Because without one...still got no clue here.

Jay,

This is the simplified process from Chase:

Do a fair amount of approaches to get warmed up and build social momentum
Open with direct openers, indirect direct, or situational openers
Keep moving and meeting new women, working to get quick investment and move them, screening out non-compliant women and women who aren't especially interested in you
Transition quickly from light early banter following your opener to deep diving, broken up periodically with chase framing to keep things from getting too heavy
Get her sitting down with you soon into deep diving, if you aren't seated already
Continue escalating investment from the girl, getting more compliance, and screening her via deep diving
Once she seems ready (anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hour, normally),invite her home
Kiss her within 10 minutes (ideally, sooner) of getting her into your place
Escalate to sex
Keep having sex and formulate desired relationship

This is simple and straightforward, but most guys don't have a process like this.

There you go. It's that simple. It's important to figure out whether or not you're at a sticking point. But sometimes, success can just be a matter of figuring out a definite process. This should help you with that.

Very nice piece Colt, Thank you.

With regard to White Knights have you ever had to deal with more open forms of aggression from them?

Like if you deal smoothly with their opening salvoes and so they let the mask drop a little and start being aggressive and trying to undermine your dignity, for instance in the example above if they knocked the phone out of your hand.

I'm no expert, however, if a white knight acts childish in that manner, what does that say about the girl's maturity level with men in general?

Nuncle,

Anon is right. That should be a reflection of the girl.

But...that has NEVER happened to me. EVER. And frankly, I never worry about that happening to me. Why? Because white knights. They would never get aggressive around a dominant man. They may snivel in the corner, or bad mouth you under their breath. But I would never worry about them actually doing anything.

All important lessons that most men (assuming they have at least 1 friend) will learn in their lives by the time they're in their 20s.

If anything, I think girls that have guy friends (effectively, trying to be "one of the guys") should read, as they never learn these "guy" lessons -- especially #8. I'm talking about true guy-girl platonic relationships (if you believe in it).

You have to ask yourself too:

If your girl was cheating on you, would you want to know?
If you were about to marry a girl that's a mistake, would you want to know?
If you got rejected, would you want encouragement to keep going and talk to more girls?
Etc.

If it's yes, then do the same for your friends. If you can't, then I just don't think you're a close enough friend -- how can you not be honest (in a direct-nice way)?

One time, I was pretty sad from a breakup. I showed my friend a picture (he lived out of state at the time), and he just said, "Man, you can do better." Best thing I heard, and it got me over her that day and dating other women.

There's probably 1 bro code that I will break. If my guy friend is in a monogamous relationship and cheats on his girlfriend, I will tell if they're thinking about marriage. If they're not thinking about marriage, then I'm not as concerned. Do you think this is bad? Or should you always keep it a secret?

This has never happened, but it has happened with one of my female friends. Her friend cheated on her boyfriend, and they were going to get married in a few months. She never told the guy (I didn't even know the friend or guy). They got married for like 2 months until they divorced (I assume he found out). He's in the military from what I heard and that probably allowed a lot of opportunities for cheating.

Pinot Noir,

I think you bring up a lot of great points.

In terms of cheating, it's not really your place to tell the girl if they don't have a definite future, so that's fair. And if they do have a future, I think it's your responsibility to make your friend tell his girl. You don't want to rat him out. But yea, overall it seems like you have a great grasp of the code.

Onward,

Colt

Colt,

"You must be swift as a coursing river
With all the force of a great typhoon
With all the strength of a raging fire
Mysterious as the dark side of the moon"

Had me dying laughing!

Great article bro, one I will definitely be recommending to a couple friends of mine who are trying to get better with women.

Richard!

I'm really glad you appreciated that! And I also appreciate the fact that you're a positive and thoughtful force for all of the writers here on GC. I've enjoyed your pieces and look forward to more.

Cheers,

Great read. Most of the stuff here I know intuitively. Even though I'm not very good with women, I always knew that betraying your friend for a girl always looked pathetic.. I think mostly genuine-level men who are really good with women are the one's who are able to adhere to these kinds of rules. Average guys will say "bro's over hoes," but when a girl shows up they quickly forget about their friendship. These dudes behave just like women. They complain about women not having any sense of honor or loyalty and yet they do the same thing.

Lboss's picture

Yeah I like the one about always tell us bro if he's getting cheated on but add bro code never tell his girl when he's cheating Cuzco that what u assholes do right?

Spier's picture

Why can't there be both "bros and hoes" to be in balance?
