You're out and about, in a high end nightclub or a top shelf retail outlet, when you spot an insanely beautiful woman. She's just gorgeous: dressed to the nines, hair flowing and perfect, and standing atop 6 inch heels. You have to meet her.
So, you walk over, start talking to her, and, to bring her back down to Earth and rob her of the inflated status her beauty and style must, you reason, confer, you apply a well-worn tactic from the early days of the codifying of seduction: the PUA neg.
"Nice nails," you ask her, 30 seconds into the conversation. "Are they real?"
That's a neg, and that's how it looks in practice for 99.9% of the guys out there who're using it.
What I want to address with today's post is what the concept behind the neg is, whether negs actually work, and whether there are any alternatives to it.
I'll lead off by telling you this: the neg, at least the way most guys who use it these days use it, is totally not the right way to go.

I'd say that 'curious
I'd say that 'curious indifference' core principle is very similar to 'not putting a woman on a pedestal' ideas from the olden days, or perhaps how you feelings should dictate your actions when you have a mentality of abundance - you just don't care. How would you talk to an average looking girl, or even another guy, and how would this be different than when you absolutely must talk to her - the subtleties in there make all the difference.

Yeah, there's definitely a strong element of not pedestal-izing women and putting abundance mentality into gestures and glances there. Good observations, and nice work connecting some disconnected dots there ;)

Spellbinding's coming out soon -- will have most of the editing done this week (it's looking quite good, actually... have a pretty talented guy doing the production on it at the moment), so just need to put some finishing touches on at that point and we'll be green.
Video of me in-field I don't really have any plans for, since, one, it'd probably be pretty boring, as most people who watch me will tell you it looks like the girl and I are just two friends talking, and then we leave together, and two, yeah, just the thought of lugging a videographer around with me while I walk up and talk to girls makes me feel like changing my name to Mystery. Argh...

Hey Chase,
I've read some of the articles and whilst I must say that they are solid gold! But I'm basically looking for a method(just like the m3 model or mystery method by mystery) that have a step by step, routines and stuff that could get me into the game. What this mean is that how do I get started? how to demonstrate value? how to get emotionally connected with the woman? when to get physical? There must be a step by step game plan that you could teach?

Just a reminder: I have known some arguably very pretty girls with low self stem, even self destructive/suicidal tendencies, so not always assume that she is high-self-stem based only on her looks.
I would be interesting to have an article on signs of high vs low self stem in women.
