How a Girl's Perception of COVID-19 Affects Her Sex Drive

Alek Rolstad's picture

COVID-19 sex drive
Whether the COVID-19 situation is severe or not, the ‘perception’ of severity plays a very big role on a woman’s sex drive and her willingness to resume dating.

Hey guys. Welcome back to another post on seduction during the pandemic. Here I share analysis, strategies, and suggestions on how to play the mating game during this COVID-19 crisis, which has become the ultimate cockblock.

Dealing with this situation is difficult, I admit. It took me time and much brainpower to “re-figure” things out. It took many disappointing nights out and quite a bit of frustration, too. But this is a part of game, and especially a part of the learning and discovery process. One advantage I may have is that I have been in the learning and discovery phase before. I know how to crack the code and figure things out. New guys in this scene may not (yet) have this capacity. However, they can read the analysis of more experienced guys. So I hope this will help.

I’ve written a few posts about dealing with the coronavirus, which I recommend you read:

Last week’s article about different levels of lockdown was particularly important. I broke down the three levels of lockdown and shared suggestions on how to approach the mating game.

There are three general phases of lockdown:

  • Hard lockdown: You can forget about the dating game, yet do not despair as this “closed” lockdown does not last forever.

  • Moderate lockdown: Day game, parks, bars, restaurants, hosting at home, and social circle management opportunities begin to open up. You can have F-buddies come over.

  • Light lockdown: Same as above, but you may have more options: bars with less social distancing and some clubs may be open with strict social distancing, sadly.

If you want more details, read my previous article.

What I did not cover last week was the way this affects female emotions. It could be helpful to discuss what is possible logistically. A woman’s mood and state also need to be considered.

I’ve noticed that women’s behavior differs depending on many factors. I have traveled to other countries with different lockdown policies, and have talked with girls abroad. Some visited me once the European Union opened its borders.

I’ve come to some conclusions about how COVID-19 and lockdown policies affect women’s moods. I will share these factors next.

How to Avoid Getting Attached Before You're Ready

how to avoid getting attached
Most guys who learn pickup end up with a girlfriend, often very quickly. But what if you don’t want to settle just yet? These tips will help you avoid getting attached.

Finding that one girl you’d want to be your special unicorn and be with forever and ever is not easy.

I’ve dated hundreds of women in my life, and I still haven’t found “the perfect girl.” There’s no such thing as perfection. Even the most beautiful diamond is just a rock. And the closer you look at it, the more flaws you’ll find.

However, it’s my hope that every one of you finds your dream girl, and you travel to Southern France (or wherever) together and make a dozen babies.

Until then, I believe that every man should date a large variety of women. Otherwise, how will you know when you’ve found one you can tolerate, and even enjoy, for what may be the rest of your mortal life?

Dating Strategies for Different Levels of Lockdown

covid-19 pandemic dating solutions
COVID-19 restrictions vary in different parts of the world. In this article, I go over some possible dating solutions depending on your level of lockdown.

Hey guys. And welcome back.

Today I want to return to my posts on COVID-19 and how to deal with this challenging situation. Let’s not fool ourselves; this pandemic is one of the biggest cockblocks I have ever encountered. It has impaired me more than I would have believed. Things are NOT easy. It is hard for everyone.

It may negatively affect your social and sexual confidence. I get that. Usually, I would tell guys to man up, but I can only say that I sympathize. It has affected me and other seducers as well. Things are not great.

I may be repeating myself, but it’s important to note that we are all experiencing the lows of COVID-19, pros and beginners alike. So do not feel bad for experiencing negative emotions. Pros and beginners may experience things differently. Pros may feel the shock of not having superpowers anymore, which is very frustrating, and beginners may feel far less robust emotionally regarding sex and women.

Most of us, regardless of skill levels, will experience lows for different reasons. The way people cope with crises, given their natural predispositions, may play a significant role in how they react and how severely they are affected.

Today I want to get practical. My two last articles on seduction during the pandemic have been mostly in a negative tone. I’ve taken a negative slant about online dating and dating apps. I do not generally consider them good options for meeting women, and find them even less useful during the pandemic.

(I still have not heard from anyone racking up plenty of pulls from Tinder during the pandemic; wasn’t it supposed to be the perfect solution?)

So, what should one do instead? I feel bad for leaving readers without a replacement.

I will share some brief suggestions. It will be an overview. In future posts, I may share specific guides on dealing with these suggestions. I am not writing in-depth posts yet, because I still have not found the holy grail. I hope that the crisis will end before I get to that, so I don’t have to write these guides. But if the crisis continues, you will AT LEAST have some in-depth suggestions.

Tactics Tuesdays: Re-Seductions to Convert Your Fast Lays

Chase Amante's picture

re-seduction for fast lays
If you sleep with her too quick, the odds she sees you again go down. Want to raise them up? Re-seduce her once she's dressed and on her way out before you let her go.

If you do fast pickups, where you're sleeping with women very soon after meeting them, you'll run into a certain issue. It won't be much of an issue until you want to hang onto a woman. Then you have one you decide you'd like to see again, and up it pops.

The issue is that no matter how great a guy you are, when you are shagging women very fast, by default a lot of women may not want to see you again.

A woman may feel guilty about having slept with you so fast: "I'm not like that, I don't know why I had sex with him so quick," and this can make her not want to see you again.

Or maybe she enjoyed it, but she completely writes you off as a random sexy rogue (fuckboy) and has no desire to see you further.

None of this is an issue when a one-night stand is all you're worried about.

But it becomes an issue when you lay a girl you'd like to keep, then can't get her back out again.

However, there is one unique little tactic I've devised over the years that dramatically boosts your ability to convert a fast-lay into a girl who'll come to see you again.

Before I tell you about it, you should understand a few things about how people make decisions, first (and actually, I am going to give you a bonus tactic too... so really it's two tactics here).

Our Burden as Men to Be Strong

burden as men to be strong
We typically advise against men opening up about their weaknesses to women they date. But won’t showing a little insecurity strengthen a relationship? No, and here’s why.

As a follow up to my article on the right and wrong ways to be vulnerable, a reader was curious why it’s important not to be vulnerable about certain things in your own life when dealing with women.

The anonymous reader commented on vulnerability below:

“So the thesis of the article is that it’s best not to be vulnerable unless it’s occasional and share something that you can easily attribute to something external? I wouldn’t be able to talk about what a struggle my adolescent life is because of depression? Or how my Asian parents did a poor job raising me, and it led to me having low self-esteem? We really can’t share our past traumas under any circumstance without losing our women? We have to pretend like everything is okay, and we never had any struggle in our lives past or current even if that’s not the case? What if you just make it seem like it was in the past, but you’re a different man now, and the only reason you’re actually telling her is because it feels good to share it with someone else instead of keeping it bottled in? I feel like men constantly have to do a lot of posturing just for the sake of attracting and keeping women interested in them whereas women don’t really have that concern.”

On the boards the other day, I read two similar comments about how unfair and inferior it is to be a male in today’s society.

The first comment:

“Women date up. Men date down. Men have to fear that their penis doesn’t [measure] up. Women can be relatively skinny and have unlimited abundance with[out] having to work for it. Men have to work to be providers. Women have so many options that they can choose and compare between looks, social status, wealth, dick size, confidence, and alpha male [status]. Women only seem to compete for looks, sometimes status, and only provide pussy. Being feminine does not seem to add any additional value to our lives. Yet we have to compete on various levels of value just to be good enough. Social media and Tinder has made 5/10s with unlimited abundance.”

HOW IS THIS FAIR?

And the second comment:

“Men are expected to give women pleasure, strength, attention, validation, and security to prevent them from cheating, etc. Yet, women basically give nothing in return besides pussy. That is what bothers me the most. Not only do women reap more rewards in the sexual marketplace, they don’t even have to try as much.”

Is this really how it works?

In this article, I want to dive in further and discuss what this means. I’ll clarify and expand on my response to the comments about the article.

COVID-19 Has Not Made Dating Apps Better

dating apps during COVID-19 pandemic
For getting laid during a pandemic, you’d think dating apps would be the obvious solution, but sadly that’s not the case. In fact, they suck now more than ever.

Hey guys, and welcome back.

Last week I wrote an article about why dating apps suck in general. I shared my skepticism. I believe it is an inferior type of game in every way, and it is the least efficient method of dating.

As I am writing this, the world is still facing the COVID-19 pandemic. Many places are experiencing a full or partial lockdown. The field is not what it used to be, if accessible at all.

During these challenging times, online game, including dating apps and websites, are not the first thing that comes to mind. But they are indirectly recommended by health authorities. Dating apps and dating websites are supposed to be our new way to meet women.

After all, it makes sense. You are not allowed to mingle in big groups, or to go to bars and clubs. If you are, it is usually not recommended, and there are limits due to social distancing policies.

So I get it. Dating apps are supposed to save us.

Despite hating dating apps, I saw them as a potential solution. At first. So, I gave it a shot. At least I had to try.

The results? You’d expect EVERYONE, including girls, to be active on dating apps and be eager to meet a cool guy like you or me. But the truth is, this was as far from reality as it could be.

I was never the type who was big on apps like Tinder. I did get many matches during a period last year when I was experimenting with dating apps. However, these days my results have been lower than usual, almost nonexistent.

I get very few matches. Perhaps 1 in 100 swipes. That’s quite a crappy ratio, especially when you have professionally taken photos and happen to not be ugly.

So what did I see?

  1. Many prostitutes

  2. Many girls stating that they were not answering on Tinder, but that you could add them on Instagram (for attention)

  3. All sorts of girls from across the globe (this BS called Tinder Passport, even if deactivated, you still receive responses from girls from other countries)

Let’s break down these three cases. Then I’ll share my theories on WHY dating apps suck EVEN more during the pandemic, and why you should spend your energy on other options instead.

It hurts me to admit that I’m not giving you clear solutions on how to seduce during the pandemic. However, I may save you some time, energy, and emotions to find solutions that work so you can spend your time on productive activities that are not seduction-related, but beneficial to your development.

Side note: I’m currently experimenting with new solutions on how to meet girls during the pandemic. I need more data before I share, but expect my upcoming posts to cover some solutions.

Without having clear solutions yet, things are progressing well. So stay optimistic!

COVID-19 – The End of Dating as We Know It, Part 2

dating after COVID-19
Mass unemployment has led to a rise in sugar dating. And if you can’t pay for sex, past lovers offer relief for guys unable to work their normal game in a pandemic.

Part 1 of this series explored how dating might change after the pandemic. While it is speculative (note: I want to be very clear, this is all speculation), I think there are important recent trends that indicate where society is heading, and how dating will evolve.

To be clear, there will not be a fundamental shift in how attraction and mating works. Game is game, what’s attractive will remain attractive, and what men and women want will stay the same. Women still want great lovers, great sex, great experiences, and great boyfriends. Don’t think that somehow because of the present lull, the mechanics of dating and courtship will never be the same again.

In many ways, I think dating will be the same, but some major trends could influence your opportunities and strategies to meet and date women.

Here’s what we covered in Part 1:

  • The disappearance of office space, and the rise of the work from home culture. Fewer people are commuting, with more on-the-go, flexible schedules, flexible travel, and home-away setups.

  • Potential depopulation, more affordable cities.

  • The decline of business travel.

  • Increasing reliance on online dating. If it’s not your primary method of meeting women in the good times, at minimum, have a functional online dating profile during the bad times.

Now let's cover the impact of COVID-19 and technology on dating. We’ll start with an interesting growing trend in the market: the rise of sugar baby game and sugar dating.

COVID-19 – The End of Dating as We Know It, Part 1

dating after COVID-19
COVID-19 has already shown us a glimpse into an odd future: the rise of the home office and social distancing, etc. How will these shifts impact dating in the long term?

This article is purely speculative. We might look back on this in two or three years and laugh at some of these predictions, or some other Girls Chase authors will flame me. But when The Jetsons came out, we laughed at some of the predictions they imagined that are now commonplace. To get your critical brain thinking a bit, let’s look at some impacts of COVID-19.

Some pundits, news reporters, media outlets, and sources of influence are labeling COVID-19 as a quick, passing moment in time, after which everything returns to normal once a vaccine is developed. Others predict permanent social distancing measures, indefinite isolation, and a host of other lasting changes to our society.

I’m not this extreme on either end, but I think this moment in history is starting the path of some significant long-term shifts. In some ways, it’s too soon to predict exactly what will happen next, but there are some indicators we can accurately assess to draw some conclusions. I think it’s bound to affect how some parts of dating will work for the next decade or so.

Fundamentally, women never will change, and game will always be game. So, let’s speculate on the ways you may be meeting girls in the future.

Should You Flake on Her First? Well, There Are 5 Pros and 3 Cons

Chase Amante's picture
flake on her first
It's an old tactic, but you may not have tried it. Should you flake on your date first… before she flakes on you? There are 5 good reasons to… yet 3 cons to keep in mind.

There's an old flake-reduction tactic I first learned about 14 years ago.

The tactic is simple: you flake on her first.

This guy who told me about it mentioned he'd flaked first on his last six dates. Then he rescheduled his meets with them. Each of the six jumped into bed with him on Date #1. None of his dates flaked on him back.

He was still testing it out, he said, and couldn't confirm it was an always-reliable technique... but the early signs looked promising.

I filed that away mentally as an interesting anecdote, but not something I was bold enough to try at the time. At the time, I was only just starting out. I still needed to worry about getting dates in the first place... I was not in a place to start flaking on those dates.

1.5 years and a fair bit of romantic progress later, I had a date with a very attractive girl. However, I also had a lot of things going on. And I forgot the date. I was at a trendy upscale nightclub with a friend, and in the midst of talking to new girls, forgot I had one I was supposed to meet up with that night already.

Well, my date messaged. I saw the message, realized I'd forgotten the date, and told her I wasn't coming. Then she called. I had to awkwardly apologize and tell her I'd forgotten I'd promised my friend we'd hang out.

"So... you're not coming?" she asked again.

"Yeah... I'm sorry, I can't tonight," I said.

"... okay," she said.

I apologized again, and hung up. I felt really bad.

The next day I texted her, apologized again, and offered to reschedule. She accepted.

A few days later I met up with her. She was more or less ready to go already when I arrived. We had a few drinks at the bar, she was super flirtatious, then I pulled her. Two hours into the date I shagged her. We went a few rounds, and she was super sweet to me after.

I was... surprised how it played out, to say the least. "I thought she'd want nothing to do with me after I forgot our date," I thought.

Then I remembered that instructor's experiments 1.5 years earlier. 'Flake on her first' had worked for me, just as it had for him. And I definitely wasn't advanced at that point yet, either.

Maybe it wasn't such a challenging tactic to pull off, after all.

The COVID-19 Effect: Do We Need to Rethink Pickup and Seduction?

Alek Rolstad's picture

By: Alek Rolstad

dating covid-19 pandemic
Has COVID-19 become an overarching seduction wildcard, disallowing your tried-and-true pickup routines? It certainly has for me. But it’s not all bad. Here’s why.

Here in Europe, as in many countries, there’s talk about “rethinking” and “reinventing” ways to socialize. I get chills EVERY TIME I hear this. It activates a deep fear that I may lose everything I love so much, like enjoying a night out, banging chicks at parties, and going on dates in bars.

The thought is terrifying.

I question a lot these days why the authorities and media say this. I am nearing the end of lockdown in my country. People are partying on the weekends (sadly, clubs are still closed). They hang out in restaurants and bars, doing all the usual things again. So, I question the "need for rethinking our social life" rhetoric. Things are getting slowly getting back to normal, although it took a bit longer than anticipated. So what is all this rhetoric for? To scare us? To calm us down? For marketing? I honestly do not know.

But I know that you cannot reinvent “social.” The “social” is about meeting people face-to-face. Skyping is social, so are group chats on various platforms, but they are not social in the strict sense. They are like “social light.”

Humans, even hardcore introverts, are social beings. We need to see people, interact, mingle, laugh, dance, and play. It is part of human nature. Biologists know it, sociologists know it even better, and psychologists think they know it.

First and foremost, there is likely no need to rethink ways to socialize (as the crisis will end eventually), and it is impossible to rethink socialization.

This is what I’ll discuss here. I’ll share my perspectives, and then review some strategies for tackling socialization in the age of COVID-19.
