New Site Design and Business Model: Live in 7 Days

Chase Amante's picture

new site design: coming soonHowdy gents,

It’s a little later than promised, but we are finally almost ready to roll out the new Girls Chase site design and content subscription plans. Most of the major work on setting up the subscription model and building the new site design and layout is finished, and we’ll be spending the remainder of this week putting the polish on, fixing up a few odds and ends that still need completing, and testing everything out to knock out any last bugs or glitches we come across.

If you didn’t catch my 2013 announcement for our new upgrades this year, you can read the original announcement here: “Changes for Girls Chase in 2013.” (and if you’re reading that for the first time and find you have questions, make sure to check out the rather lengthy comment section – there are somewhere close to 50 reader comments and questions on there, and I set aside what amounted to a full work day to make sure they were all satisfactorily answered)

Our go-live date for the Girls Chase relaunch is Sunday, 10 March 2013 – exactly one week from today.

Changes for Girls Chase in 2013

Chase Amante's picture

Hey there gentlemen,

Chase Amante here. It's the start of a new year - 2013; and new things are afoot.

We'll be introducing some new, (relatively) major changes to the website that are going to both massively up the value the site's bringing to you over the course of the year, and change the way you use it for the better.

Girls Chase 2013 Logo
(the new Girls Chase logo)

What we have here right now is a content business - an article-based site - where the site isn't all that well-designed for finding the kinds of articles you most want. It's a blog setup, which is usable, but far from optimal.

We also have a business model that's centered on product sales, for a website that's all about the content. It's what you'd call a mismatch between what the reader comes to the site for, and what the business side of things wants to achieve (i.e., enough revenues to properly maintain and grow the site and company).

So, sometime between late-January and mid-February most likely, we'll be premiering two new things:

  • A totally new, newspaper-influenced website design that's cleaner, more navigable, more readable, and yet retains enough of the old style of things that it should feel like a pretty natural transition to old hands around here (you can see a development snapshot of one of the new category pages here; obviously, nothing's complete yet, though); and

  • A new, New York Times-style content subscription model, where you'll be able to access 10 articles on the main site for free per month, and you'll be asked to pay about 20 dollars per month to subscribe and keep reading if you'd like to read more than 10 articles per month

I expect there's probably a fairly wide opinion here among the regular readers about this; both about the site redesign and, likely more so, about the new content subscriptions.

Before you jump to any conclusions though, I'd like to ask you to take a walk with me (metaphorically speaking) as I discuss with you why we're making the changes we are, and what you can expect out of Girls Chase in this new year.

Girls Chase Forums Now Open to the Public!

Chase Amante's picture

Howdy gents,

I'm pleased to announce the boards, in development since early autumn and closed-but-active since mid-November, are now open to the public.

Opened up to an initial small group of 35 members one month ago, and expanded to a larger pool two weeks ago, we're now fully ready to roll out the new Girls Chase forum for you to read, learn from, post to, and connect with other guys on, with members everywhere from beginner to intermediate to advanced levels and beyond at getting girls, running relationships... the works.

Girls Chase Forum(the new Girls Chase Boards)

In only a month of existence, the boards have racked up almost 1900 posts across 350+ topics, but even more importantly, we're off to a great start in terms of culture and tone: it's a warm, open place focused on results, first and foremost; no cynicism, whining, complaining, or reaction-seeking, and it's almost 100% negativity-free.

Only a small part of that's due to me; truth is, we've got some great guys on there, from Franco, our moderator, to some of the more advanced guys helping out and providing their own insights (one of those guys, Eric, you've already seen some posts from out here on the blog), to the newer guys who are getting out there, working hard, sharing their results (progress and setbacks alike), and seeing successes: new phone numbers, more dates, kisses, lovers... even new girlfriends.

If you weren't part of the initial group to join, I recommend you check it out right now - we've removed the access restrictions, and anybody who's motivated and wants to help out, contribute, share his findings, chronicle his journey, and connect with other likeminded students of the social and seductive arts can do by clicking the "Discussion" link above, or by going right here:

http://www.girlschase.com/boards/

See you on the boards.

Want to Be the First to Join the New Forum? Here's How...

Chase Amante's picture

forum launchI'm thrilled to announce that the new forum is up and ready, and we're going open it up to the first 35 new members. A little later in this post, I'll tell you what we're looking for in the initial group of people we let through the doors, and how you can be among them.

First though, what can you expect to find in the new forum?

The basic layout of the new Girls Chase forum is similar to that of the now-defunct Fast Seduction forum that the original pickup and seduction community formed out of; first alt.seduction.fast, then mASF. If you don't know what any of that means, don't worry - but for the fellas who've been around a while, that's the history.

The actual functionality you'll encounter is a handful of forums and sub-forums that we've designed to be clear enough to keep things organized, but not so overwhelming that you won't know where to start:

  • there's a Beginners Board with a newbie start guide and common questions
  • a Tactics Board for specific techniques and strategies
  • a Field Reports Board for sharing your experiences and getting feedback
  • a Relationships Board for hashing out relationship questions and advice
  • an Advanced Board for sharing and learning advanced observations and techniques

... and a few more. Each board is broken down into between 1 and 3 sub-boards on various related topics: opening, journals, long term relationships, online dating, and the like.

Why are we only letting in 35 people right now?

New Forum Launching Soon; What "Join Bonus" Would Tempt You the Most?

Chase Amante's picture

Hey gents,

Girls Chase ForumWe're preparing to launch a new forum here for everyone interested in talking shop, sharing techniques and strategies, keeping field reports to track their interactions and get feedback from others on how they're doing and how they can improve, and a whole lot more.

This way, once there are enough users online, you can get instantaneous feedback, even if you're in the middle of a date like that guy on the right.

The plan is to open the doors first to a select group of initial members (post upcoming on how to get included in this first group, probably later this week) before opening the doors to a wider audience.

But what I'd like to know right now is: what free information product would offer you the most incentive to try the forum out?

Review: Minimal Game

Chase Amante's picture

minimal gameIn his latest book Minimal Game: The No-Nonsense Guide to Getting Girls, a fast-paced 110-page read, Aaron Sleazy starts off with a refreshing, commonsense hard slap of the overcomplicated approach to pick up and seduction that many companies in the space employ.

“You will get the impression that finding a sexual partner was not something natural and primal, but instead required years of serious study as well as the attendance of workshops costing several thousand dollars, in which people of often doubtful levels of competence teach you a million bizarre ways to talk to girls.”

This sets a clear tone for the rest of the work to follow, focused on shedding the over-complications of many of the industry's heavyweights and boiling the act of seduction down to its bare essentials, including everything from looks to expectations to even a section colorfully entitled "Learning from Deadbeats."

Sleazy starts off his book with a long focus on correcting the mentality of men who don't yet see women as sexual creatures. "Sex has achieved an almost mythological status in Western societies," he writes, "and if you are not getting any, you are supposed to feel bad."

After this introduction, we're off to the races.

Happy New Year 2012 from Girls Chase: A Look Toward the Year Ahead

Chase Amante's picture
happy new year 2012

This time one year ago I wrote a post excitedly updating you that we had 2,400 visits in December 2010, and that my ebook on getting girls was months away.

Well, I released the book in March and it's done well. It's been a consistent seller and it's moving about 40 copies a month. Meanwhile, Seduction Sensei, our monthly audio program, and Spellbinding, my video on having spellbinding conversation with women, were released as well, and continue to do great. Sensei has hundreds of subscribers; Spellbinding's gotten great reviews and continues to sell well.

As for visits, the site's grown a lot. In December 2010, we had 2,400 visits. In December 2011, just one year later, we had 193,000 visits - and it only keeps growing.

So what's in store for 2012?

Over the past week, while everyone's been on Christmas break, we've been upgrading the servers here, and just moved to a new server to handle the traffic the site's been attracting. We were experiencing page loading delays at times of up to 30 to 60 seconds - that's a thing of the past now with our own full-time dedicated server.

We've added a number of new members to the team too, including Ricardus, an experienced and talented writer; Genaro, our world class email guy; and a talented IT pro - with more new additions coming.

GC is Hiring: If You're Good, You Should Write Us

Chase Amante's picture

Are you really, really good at what you do?

You already know this blog. You already know this site. You already know what we're about. You already know that we're about men moving up in the world through the best science and tech, crazy real world stories, living amazing lifestyles and getting the women of our dreams. We help men all over the world live like modern day kings.

So how's your current job? Does it suck? Is it "just okay"?

Or maybe you're doing well, but not as fast as you could be?

Anyways. We're looking for people who are the best, highly engaged, learn quickly, and are just awesome and amazing and fun people to work with.

Write to me at iamthebest@girlschase.com if you are - tell me what you're good at, why you got into it, and what you see as the meaning of your life.

(the actual job? I've got a few, I'd much rather hear from people who are awesome about what they're awesome at. I've got the right fit for you if you're the best and coolest person you know)

Love you,
Chase
