So, if you don't know it by now, what naturally defines an 'Alpha Male' in the human species is often attributed to high levels of testosterone.•Increased Dominance

•Increased Competitiveness

•Increased Aggressiveness

•Increased Sexual Drive

•Increased Risk Taking

•Lean body mass

•Stronger natural body odor

•Quicker hair growth

•Increased strength, muscle repair and muscle building

•Increased Confidence

The pont is, increased levels of testoterone will amplify your game. It will make you 'natural' and far more attractive.

So, from January 5 to February 5 I will strive everyday to consciously do anything I can do to increase my testosterone levels. I will write down a report as often as I can, including my strength gains, social field reports and internal mindset shifts caused by increased levels of testosterone. So what increases testosterone levels?
•Cutting fat (Fat increases estrogen levels which kills T-levels, also this is why fat men develop man-breasts. An increase in breast-tissue)
•Strength Training at least 2x a week (I plan on Strength Training 3x times a week following a 3x5 set/rep with 85% of 1RM. Continuous strength training for over 2 years also increases base testosterone levels.)

•Eating fat-rich foods. (Fish, nuts, avocado....will do more research.)

•Winning competitions. (Winning has shown to elevate testosterone levels, and vice versa with losing.)

•Eating steak occasionally (Has shown to improve T-levels in men)

•Take more risks (Whether approaching women, or doing ballsy things in general)

•Face my fears (Same with the above)

•Sex with new women (Sex with a new woman or multiple women has shown to elevate T-levels the day after)

Cold showers (Even though I've been sick for a while now)

No more than 2 alcoholic drinks per day (Will be challenging because I'm in a fraternity and go out 4 times a week. I'll put my demons aside)

Again will do more research and write out what my challenge will consist of on a daily message. (i.e. steps I will take to produce the results I want)

Stay tuned. I will be your crash test dummy.

Hey,

and no porn, no manual relief. I tried it some time ago, uninterrupted for 3 months. After a little while, you become overloaded, trust me :)

Will be reading your posts.

Hey, I read a story that men who viewed sexually explicit moview saw a 36% increase in testosterone an hour later after the movie. Again, my research has been limited and I will look more in-depth.

Cheers.

Studies have shown that men with longer ring fingers in comparison to their point fingers were exposed to high levels of prenatal testosterone. My ring finger is noticeably longer than my point finger so I have a higher baseline of testosterone (above average) than the average person.

This was shown in my pre-pubescent years. I was often among the most popular kids, girls often had crushes on me, was very active and competitive in all sports, very lean, very hairy, energetic and aggressive. However, when puberty hit, I spent my days playing video games and generally stayed inside my house instead of socializing, playing sports and continue as I previously was. Therefore my testosterone levels didn't reach the levels they could have and I succumbed to more 'beta' mindsets. My brother on the other hand, continued on to our previous lifestyle and turned out much more 'manly and natural' than I am today. He's more 'alpha' than I am in our daily lives. However, he's fatter than me so his testosterone levels didn't reach their peak either, but his drop in T-levels was much less dramatic than mine. I reached my peak levels to date somewhere along senior year of high school when I was constantly working out, competing for a nationally-ranked baseball team (I played bench cause I was a huge pussy), and then again received lots of compliments and attention from the ladies (my lack of knowledge about the opposite sex brought me on to a 'Do Girls Like Funny Guys' search on Google and stumbled on to this article -> https://www.girlschase.com/content/makin ... ns-nothing and I then found GC. Surprise surprise ;)

These are the ages of when men peak in testosterone levels (18-25) in a research done in 1996:

Healthy ranges are 350 ng/dl (80 year old men with type 2 diabetes) to 1,200 ng/dl (elite athletes). The avg. range is 400-600 ng/dl.

18-25 (age)
125 (# of men tested)
692 ng/dl (mean total testosterone) <- above average. Again, these are peaking ages.
158 ng/dl (std. deviation)
697 ng/dl (media total testosterone)
408 ng/dl (5%) - lowest of the lowest
468 ng/dl (10%) - lowest of the lowest as well
956 ng/dl (95%) - cream of the crop

As of right now, I suspect my testosterone level to be around the 500 ng/dl mark (avg. 40 year old man). My natural unregulated testosterone should be somewhere along the 800 ng/dl mark at this age (19 years old, peak age is 20) because I'm pre-disposed to higher levels than average. However due to my poor diet, lack of training, excessive drinking, irregular sex, small weight gain (10 lbs) and low activity levels; I suspect that my testosterone is not optimal. And my plan is to fix this.

Physical symptoms of high T:

Rapid hair growth (or hair loss depending on genetics)
Stronger natural body odor
More defined, stronger jawline
Broad shoulders
Low body-fat percentage
Increasing risk for alcoholism
Increased muscle mass
Increased energy
Increased sex drive
...etc.

*Funny edit: physical symptoms of high prenatal levels of testosterone also include penile length. But I'll leave that up to your imagination :)

Daily focus:

  • Regular sex with different/alternating women
    Follow Starting Strength workout program
    Sleep 7-9 Hours a Night
    Eat a fat-rich, cholesterol optimized, diet. With a 2:1 Carb-to-Protein ratio
Limit alcohol intake to 2 drinks on a particular day/night
Manage stress levels (never been a problem before)
Limit caffeine to a cup of coffee a day. (I don't drink coffee, but for you caffeine aficionados out there)
Avoid tobacco products (I smoke cigars on celebratory occasions)
Drink and eat with glassware. (BPA kills T-levels and is found mainly in plastic, receipt paper and toothpaste)
    Eat Broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage.
Also multi-coloured fruits and vegetables, soy products, fish, nuts (Brazil nuts specifically), avocado, organic foods,

Lesser focus:

  • Cold showers
    Loose fitting underwear
Do not drink beer, especially canned. Higher estrogen levels as opposed to a glass of whiskey.
Use shampoo and cologne once a week, tops.
Consider over-the-counter products [Zinc 20-30mg daily, Quercitin 400mg daily, Grape seed extract 100mg daily)
[/list]

Enjoying this thread. Keep it up. Wondering your thoughts on the effects of eliminating masturbation on testosterone and everything mental. also another topic I haven't seen discussed much but smoking weeds impact on testosterone, mental health, game etc.

Didn't look into weed, but masturbating has no effect on testosterone. Any sexual activity (wanking included) increases testosterone levels and return to normal thereafter.
Masturbation has a bigger effect on mental issues but not on T-levels

I've found that in college, women use weed as plausible deniability. My first time having sex with girls they often ask me to come over and get high with them, "oh we were just smoking and then we hooked up" I've also had 2 girls say weed makes them horny even though mary jane has no real effect on sex drive. Plausible deniability can be yoyour best friend :)

*Quick edit: I looked at multiple studies that show marijuana kills testosterone levels quite significantly and supress its production for a 24 hour period. Stay off the herb, mon!

An important discovery:

A study showed that non-obese men when fasted for 56 hours showed a 300 ng/dL testosterone increase. That's enough to give a 80 year old man a 20 year old's sex drive. But fasting for 2 1/3 days every week is not feasible or healthy in the long term. However, Brett over at the Art of Manliness showed a 383-to-829 ng/dL increase in a 4 month's span by living a healthier lifestyle and not fasting. Another dude over at testosterone.io went from 400-to-1129 ng/dL in the same time frame but he included daily fasting, he was also younger.

*As a side note, healthy lifestyles (read: you eat well, exercise, have sex, keep stress levels and sleep well) have shown that decline with age isn't inevitable. That means, a decline in testosterone is a choice. Much alike being bad with women.

Even though research is a limited, they're arriving to the conclusion that daily (or intermittent) fasting DOES certainly improve testosterone levels. As so, I will be doing a 16 hour daily fasting in my 30 DAY Challenge. If it works, and I feel better then I can most definitely continue to. My plan is to have my last meal by 6 pm and not eat anything until I wake up at 10 am.

Also, smoking (tobacco) does increase testosterone levels despite their health complications.

Cheers.

*Update*

So for the last 3 days, I've been living in accord to these principles I listed before and I've already noticed a significant change. Just last night I almost got in 2 fights. In one instance, I was playing basketball with my little cousin who's 11 and fat and some kids were laughing at him cause he couldn't run and I got in all their faces and staring them down. I genuinely wanted to fight, keep in mind my last fight was for 4 years ago and I've been actively trying to defuse situations, but last night I wanted to rock a dude's face. Just thinking about it right now is making me aggressive. Then, we were playing ping pong and this super try-hard, bad boy wanna be, cocky ass sonnuvabitch starts showing off. He's a lot better than I am but his attitude rubbed me the wrong way and it invigorated me to beat him. Like I just had to. He kept flaunting his shit. And I start playing massively aggressive and staring him down, like I was hitting the ball as hard as I could and yelling "Fuck!" and acting like I was about to start a fight. It wasn't fake, I genuinely wanted to kick his teeth in. After the game, we chilled and talked and became friends but during the time being, the tension between us two was almost tangible.

I also have this weird habit of popping my collar, walking with more swagger and having a chip-on-my-shoulder kind of attitude, cutting people off in traffic, drinking more and being louder. I may have to calibrate this, or I'm just going to turn into some punk, aggressive-beta wanna be. But this is new territory for me. My masculinity's always been dormant.

I'm excited for the next month :)

Sounds like massive change, but as you've noticed, it looks like it's not all good. Much like everything else it comes with it's own set of challenges.

*Comparison*

For the last 5 days, I've been indulging in binge drinking, not eating optimally healthy, sleeping way more than I should and in short; not living to testosterone optimization.

Results?

Constant negative emotional state, lost willingness to compete, more chill less aggressive, lost willingness to fight, and have been way more depressed. Also, lost all my sex drive. This is important kids.

Challenge starting soon.

Yes, the challenge is good, really good. There is important point though, it shouldn't be only 30 days but rather it should become a lifestyle. I am not saying I am a religious fitness guy, but I have years of excercise behind me, can't complain about my shape...

Some challenges I've overcome recently: 4 months lifting weights, 3-5x per week, sometimes even 6 times, no breaks. Started with benching 5 series x 5 repetition to 6s x6r with light weights, if I recall just with some 130 pounds or so, added 5 pounds each excercise. After 4 months, 6x5 with weight 225. IMO great results, but then my shoulders start hurting, so I said screw it, took 4 months off...

Next challege, squats. Started light, some 3 series x 10 reps each, with some 170 pounds. Again, excercised for some 4 months, ended up with 5 series x 8 reps each, with weight 240 pounds on my back. Could have easily add much more, but just got lazy. At the same time dead lift, started with just 5-6 reps with weight 210. After some 4 months 5 series x 5 reps, with weight 250, virtually no effort, could have easily add more. Also added some pull ups in series, and overhead press, even curls (biceps). Later on added dips (full), the best 7 series x 10 reps with my own weight around 227 pounds. You try it...

Got tired of weight lifting, so I cut down callories, and start walking/running. Trying to keep up, 2-3 times per week around 5 miles a day; when I'm lazy, I'll do about half of it. Results: Lost 20 pounds in 5-6 weeks and can run much longer; planning to lose another 20 pounds within couple of months... If I'll get tired I'll go back to weight lifting, or whatever...

Make it a lifestyle, if you can...

Sup dudes,

Interesting couple of days. So I returned to my house from spending the holidays with my family and am met with quite the predicament.

My roommate got a pet pitbull over winter.

Fun fact about me - I'm absolutely PARANOID about dogs. So you can imagine when I'm met face-to-face with this muscular killing machine in my door-step. FUCKING ICE COLD, FROZEN. I was so nervous I almost threw up. Out of all dogs, he got a god damn Pitbull. Also, when we first started rooming together we established that we were going to have NO dogs. He also was very well aware of my paranoia towards dogs, and he took the dog in without my consent. He only told my other roommate.

Anyways, with this beast roaming around the house, there was no fucking way I was about to step foot in my house. Which is a problem. I slept over at a friend's and when I came home that morning I confronted him. My other roommate and I talked to him about returning the dog. Some issues of his towards me arose. He called me a "stupid, immature fuck" "a fucking retarted kid" "irresponsible fcking dumbass" he then proceeded to charge me...lol, I Ryan Nolan'd him.

giphy.gif

So yeah, a lot of stress these past couples of days. But I did receive a good testosterone kick out of beating the living shit out of him. I mean, he didn't even touch me but I got his face like 5 times. Smiling all the while, unreactive to his bitch fits. This was a build-up of me enjoying my life and him being stuck in a shitty job and being ultimately jealous of my carefree and easy-going nature. You know you're doing something right when haters pop-up. Start taking action, kids.

Challenge starting tomorrow.

Cheers.

Day #1

So, today was pretty standard. Woke up at 10AM, ate a son of the baconator that I didn't even finish because I have NO appetitte in the mornings. For whatever reason. I'll just stick to bacon, toast and eggs with a little protein shake for breakfast.

Interesting thing though, I've been getting some attraction from hotter girls and I'm not even reactive to it. I'm just like...eh it happens. I'm more chill, and self-amusing. I wake up with a huge boner and feeling pretty good and energized. I did chicken out of 2 approaches, I was too in my head. In one situation, I was eating my baconator and the other one was after an hour long class. Oh well, I just kind of let it go, but I gotta approach. These girlies were bootyful.

I went out and bought some almonds and olive oil, as well as some protein supplements for my diet. I'm about to make a big ole' steak and rice and beans, kill a protein shake and go workout for my first starting strength workout since a month ago. This usually invigorates me, tomorrow I might be too horny to NOT take action. Will also do some 15-minute meditationfor shits and giggles.

Much appreesh,

FPT.

Woke up today feeling EXHAUSTED. Squats can kill you. Decided to skip class and lay on my bed for an hour. Got dressed, feeling pretty chill. Not very 'in state' just kinda relaxed. Went to grab food, ate a chicken sandwhich.

Spent the next 4 hours reading and learning PPC & Online Advertising.

Grabbed another sandwich but something interesting happened. While having lunch with my girl bestfriend, we were having a great time and this fucking guy was looking at us in a very judgmental manner and I got angry. I said "what do you want, kid" in a very confrontational, demanding tone and I wanted to fight him. Must be the T.

Also, saw this girl and she made me horny just by wearing sweatpants even though she's not particularly HOT, but just cute. Like a low 7, maybe high 6. Hit her up for a day2 if she says yes, I'll stick my hotdog in her buns if you're catching my drift :)

About to kill a protein shake, some creatine, meditate and head out to play some basketball. Updates of the day2 or anything that happens on the court to follow.

Me: Hey
Her: hey
Me: What ya doing tonight
Her: Nothing
Me: Let's meet up in the library
Her: Yeah sounds good
Me: Ok imma play basketball, shower and head over at 8
Her: Ok :)

Interesting thing though - while playing basketball after meditating, I felt more centered and in the zone. The petty thoughts were easily gone and I was concentrated, played one of my better games today against people better than me. Cool little happening.

Brb, about to go on a date :)

Read about it here - viewtopic.php?f=5&t=9168

Day #3

Pretty standard day. Woke up, made food, worked out, took two creatine pills and had a protein shake post-workout.

Squat - 175 (+10 pound increase *note - this is kind of accelerated due to muscle memory and creatine but usually it takes me 2~3 workouts to increase 5 pounds)
Military - 75 (struggled on last rep, kind of cheated, will not increase weight on next workout)
Bent-Over Row - 115 (was somewhat easy to do, will increase weight)

I had 4 beers because I went home as it was my pop's birthday, had some chinese fried rice for dinner. I've noticed my diet & sex life are lackluster, will focus on this. Other than that, feeling really good, energized, horny and masculine. I wake up in a really good emotional state, it's hard to get me in my head nowadays. But it could be three times better.

Once I return to my university, I'll focus on bagging honeys and eating more fat-rich foods.

Have not been drinking/consuming foreign substances.

Here's a very detailed guide on my workout program - http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=998224

It will make you stronger than Arnold :)
