Know Thyself: Context, Certainty, and Projection

The Ancient Greek philosophers had it figured out two and a half thousand years ago: you should know yourself. But fast forward to today and there’s no shortage of modern men who know nothing about themselves. These men are not going after what they want, because they don’t know their own desires. They suffer from self-perceptions that are stunted or warped, and they can’t be sure of themselves. Perhaps worst of all, men without self-knowledge question and doubt themselves – especially when they fail with women.

In Part 1, I showed how failing to know yourself will hold back your progress with women. In this article, I’ll talk about some strategies for learning about yourself. But more importantly, I’ll explain the principles behind the pursuit of self-knowledge. Once you understand these, you’ll be able to advance your self-knowledge, explore and strengthen your character, and, ultimately, triumph with women.

How to Successfully Introduce a Girl to Your Family

If you want to catch and keep a beautiful girl, you need to be at the top of your game. And no matter how much you love your family, sometimes it would help if they were buried deep underground. The thought of exposing a girl to the circus of your nearest and weirdest can be truly terrifying.

But there’s really no reason to be afraid. I’ll show you how to play this game like a pro, winning the affections of the girl and the admiration your family.

The key to success is realizing what you’re dealing with. Regardless of what you tell each other, every girl thinks meeting your family is getting to know “the real you”. Interactions with your family will make a deeper impression on her than almost anything else, including, in many cases, how you treat her when you’re alone.

This is a prime opportunity for you to attract her. When she meets your family, she’s ready to notice everything you’ve got going for you. Like how you’re manly and self-assured when you talk business with your dad, how you’re kind and sensitive when helping your mum with the dishes, how you’re hilarious when you tease your little sister, and how you’re boldly sexual when you put your hand on her under the dinner table.

Putting on this kind of show is going to take some serious preparation, not to mention skill. For a start, when is it okay for her to meet your folks?

There are two variables to consider:

  1. Is the time right for the girl to meet your family?
  2. Is the time right for your family to meet the girl?

Know Thyself: Breaking Free of Past and Present

If you want to move to the next level with women, you need to know a lot about them.

You need to know what piques their interest, what makes them comfortable, what turns them on, and what keeps them coming back for more.

But it’s not enough to know women. You need to know yourself.

This article is the first of two articles that focus on knowing yourself. In this article, I’m going to convince you that self-knowledge is a powerful tool for attracting women, both in the short term and the long term.

Then I’m going to point out a couple of areas where you might be neglecting your pursuit of self-knowledge.

It’s certainly not all abstract, philosophical, and ivory-tower. You could be neglecting something that has huge consequences for your romantic prospects.

A Doomed Relationship is the Ideal Springboard

Note from Chase: this is our first article from George Russell, a writer from across the pond whose work I found refreshing and strong. He’s joined us for a four (4) article trial period, and if you think his stuff is good too, he’ll be back for more as a regular contributor. George’s first article is on using a failing relationship as a springboard for getting back into the dating game. Here’s George.

It’s circling the drain, she’s pulling away, there’s nothing you can do to stop it – you know, you’ve tried everything. She hasn’t left yet, but her eyes are on the exit sign and you know her destination.

Your relationship is doomed. Either you cling on desperately until the bitter end, or you break up with her now before you waste any more time. Right?

Not so fast! There are other ways to handle the end of a relationship.

In this article I’ll show you how to make a smooth and successful transition back into the single life, or straight into a relationship you really want to be in.

The first step, of course, is to decide that you need to move on. It’s often tempting to give it just one more chance, but bear in mind that lingering in a bad relationship takes its toll. Among other things, it can damage your health, your happiness, and your ability to connect with other people.

If you’re unsure, I recommend you read more on knowing when to break up with a girl. As Chase points out in this article, ending a relationship can be tough. And it’s much tougher for people who don’t prepare for what they know is coming.
