Picking Up Girls When You're Short on Time

Let’s talk about a fun subject: expeditious pickups!

In a normal seduction, things unfold over a normal amount of time.

Your approach lasts this long, your instant date or isolation lasts that long, you do perhaps a few other bounces, then you invite her home after a certain amount of time.

However, sometimes, you’ll have a lot less time to operate.

Sometimes you only have a few hours, or an hour or less. You need to go, or she does.

When you’re short on time to make things happen, you must make pickup happen expeditiously!

(If there’s a shortage of time, why not just take her number and meet up later? Well, you could do that… perhaps… if she isn’t leaving, never to return. But you know the old pickup artist joke: “What’s the #1 way to reduce flakes? Fuck her the day you meet her!”)

 

Picking Up a Girl When She’s the One Who’s Short on Time

We’ll discuss two scenarios in this article:

1. When she’s the one who’s short on time

2. When you are

We’ll start with the former: when the girl is short on time.

First off, if you aren’t already screening girls’ logistics, you won’t even know you’re short on time most of the time, until she suddenly tells you, “Sorry, I have to go,” and runs off.

I first learned rapid logistical screening picking up girls on trains. If you don’t screen women’s logistics fast, that is how you end up with girls you had a great thing going with suddenly exiting at a stop before you had a chance to take their contact info.

It sucks. But after losing a few girls that way, you switch into, “First thing’s first: figure out what stop she’s getting off at,” as a key part of your train game.

Once I was screening girls’ stops and schedules on trains, though, I realized I needed to do it with women I was meeting other ways, too. I’ve had girls cut dates and pickups short because they had a plane to catch or an appointment with friends where, had I known, I could’ve shortened things up and possibly slept with the girl. Instead, I had to let her go, and never saw her again.

As a result, “What else you got planned today?” became a part of my early conversation. If she has something on her schedule, you need to know it, or else you can’t plan around it (and when she suddenly has to leave, it blindsides you).

It’d be nice if girls volunteered their schedules on their own… but they rarely do. Often they’re too engrossed in their conversation with you to think about time constraints until it’s too late. Then they’re running off, and you’re left behind.

So, you check.

You can use the process I outlined for rapid logistical screening.

If she has nothing else going on, and no plans, then cool – take as long as you like (but still… not too long. You still must move faster regardless!).

But if you find out she has a time obstacle, you need to adjust your gameplan.

 

Adapting to a 3-4 Hour Window

Let’s say you find out a girl has 3 to 4 hours before she needs to do something or be somewhere.

(I won’t cover 5+ hours, because if she has that long, and you still haven’t pulled her… then unless you are giving her the most magical date of her life, it’s simply too slow, bro!)

If you find out she has 3-4 hours, you need to plan things out in your head.

In particular, you need at least 30 minutes at your place before she runs off.

You start with the end and work your way back.

So let’s say you meet a girl for a date at 8 PM and she tells you she has a morning flight at 10 AM and has to be in bed by 12 AM at the latest. She also has to sleep at her place (so she has time to pack)… and her place is a 20-minute commute from your place. So this girl is going to be on the road by 11:40 PM at the latest. That means you have 3 hours and 40 minutes with her.

Some girls give you last minute resistance, and that can take 15+ minutes to overcome. You also need time to escalate and spend at least a little time in the act. You also need a little while to get her comfortable at your place. The minimum time you want for all this is 30 minutes. Since she’s leaving by 11:40, you really want to get back to your place by 11:10 at the latest… to keep numbers round, aim to have her at your place by 11 PM.

If it’s a 15-minute commute from your current location to your place, that means you need to pull by 10:45 PM. If you’re being smart, you’ll add some wiggle room in there, because nothing ever goes perfectly according to plan. So really you should aim to pull somewhere between 10:30-10:40 PM.

That means from the start of the date to the pull, you have 2.5 hours. Not too bad; but you know not to drag your feet and to make sure you’re escalating your touch, deep diving, and sexual frames at a decent enough clip that you aren’t suddenly rushing to get all that going with a half hour to the pull.

Now, if you have closer to 3 hours, instead of 4, it’s still doable without any major revisions to this plan; however, you will need to do things faster. Rather than run a 2.5 hour pickup or date, you will be working with something closer to 1.5 hours. Still doable; you just need to be swifter in your handling of things.

The main difference you have with a 3-4 hour window versus a longer/‘unlimited’ window (I put that in quotes because it is never actually unlimited… sooner or later, she will get tired, or bored, or frustrated that things are not progressing if you take too long) is that you know there’s no time for foot-dragging and that you need to be on the ball, moving the date or pickup through its stages without dawdling.

Otherwise, it’s the same process as usual.

This is the same for both pickups and dates. If you meet her at 10:50 PM at a club and she tells you she has to be in bed by 2 AM because she’s attending her sister’s wedding tomorrow at noon and she has to arrive there earlier for hair and makeup, that means you have 3 hours from first meet to her leaving your place to head home to hers.

Now, depending on the reason for the time constraint, you might be able to wiggle out some bonus time… e.g., she has the wedding tomorrow, but she’s fine to sleep at your place. Or, you’re still escalating at 2 AM, but she’s turned on enough she’ll see it through and cut into her sleep a bit. But you should not be counting on this; if you don’t get it going soon enough, many women will decide they simply don’t have time and will cut it off.

Even if she’s very into you, if you wait to pull her until 1:40 AM and she wants to be asleep at 2 AM, she is likely to simply tell you, “I’m sorry… I want to, but I can’t. I really need to get to bed,” and you will have lost the lay.

You snooze, you lose; if you know she has a time constraint, you need to run your seduction with that time constraint in mind!

 

Adapting to a 1-2 Hour Window

When you only have an hour or two with a girl, this is where you can no longer run a standard date or pickup, but must run the compressed version.

Let’s say you approach a girl at a beach and she tells you she’s a tourist and leaving town with her group two hours from now. It’s 1 PM and her tour group leaves at 3 PM. She wanted to get some sun on her own on the beach while the rest of them shopped for souvenirs. You get the feeling she wants to hook up (as many girls on vacation do!), yet time is short.

The first thing you need to do is screen her logistics. How hard is the 3 PM leave time? Does she need to be in the hotel lobby with her suitcase by 3 PM to board a tour bus, or is 3 PM the time her group is supposed to start filtering down, and they’ll really get moving around 3:30 or 4?

Let’s say it’s a hard 3 PM leave time. She needs to be in her hotel lobby, suitcase in-hand, at 3 PM. Pop quiz: will it be easier to pull her to your place, or easier to go to her hotel?

If there are no other considerations, pulling to her hotel is ideal. She’ll be far less stressed if she knows the meeting spot is just downstairs (instead of halfway across town). As time gets shorter, people feel more pressure, and taking her to where she already needs to be helps relieve much of this.

However, there are some other considerations here – namely that there are other people on the tour group who know her, they are likely to see her taking a man back to her hotel room, and she may not even have her own room. These are all things you need to figure out in advance.

If she’s by herself at the beach while everyone else shops for souvenirs, it’s probably safe to say she doesn’t care much about her reputation with the tour group. So, so long as she has the hotel room to herself, that’s your best bet for where to pull.

All this is what you need to be thinking within seconds of meeting her. You need to be able to go through the chess moves in your head. If this girl likes you and wants to get with you, she still needs you to handle the logistics, because most girls are bad at that. You must plan it all out.

For a 1-2 hour pickup like this, you are generally going to need to hook her quick, then get her moving with you quick, both to test and to escalate compliance ASAP. Usually you will want to get her walking around with you, as pickups or dates where you sit for only an hour or two, then pull, really only work if the girl is very turned on. If she requires some seducing, this happens more easily over a short time with multiple scenery changes.

So, working backward, you will need:

• To be having sex with her by 2:40 PM (so she can pack and make it down by 3)

• To arrive at her hotel by about 2:20 PM (so you have time to escalate to sex)

• To have her ready for the pull by 1:50 or 2 PM

A rough guide to the pickup will thus look like this:

• Approach at 1 PM. Quickly find out her logistics.

• Get her walking around with you by 1:10 PM. Hit up your first spot/venue.

• Get her moving to a second place by 1:25 PM. Escalate arousal + compliance as you do.

• Get her moving to a third place by 1:40 PM. Escalate things still further. Seed the hotel pull.

• Pull her to her hotel by 1:55 PM. Arrive there at 2:05 PM.

• Kiss her by 2:15 PM.

• Escalate to sex by 2:30 PM.

• Finish up by 2:50 PM and help her pack and carry her luggage down.

That’s a 2-hour pull.

A 1-hour pull is the same, just with fewer / no bounces. You might have a single bounce, or run the entire date or pickup in the original venue you met her at – then pull.

Your success making an expedited pickup like this work hinges on your ability to check her logistics, and plan backward, starting from the end, based on however long you know you have with her.

 

Adapting to an Under-an-Hour Window

When a girl has less than an hour, it basically will not happen unless she is fully down.

Assuming you’ve checked her logistics and she only has an hour – say you meet her at a café and she’s leaving to catch a long-distance train an hour from now – you’ve got 20-25 minutes to seduce and pull. That’s not a lot of time, so your focus should be on compliance tests and compliance escalation.

If she isn’t compliant, it isn’t going to happen. But if she is, it might, even if you haven’t laid any other ‘groundwork’ for the seduction.

As any owner of my One Date System knows, girls come in three categories:

• Girls who are looking for similarity

• Girls who are looking for arousal

• Girls who are just looking to comply

You simply will not have time to move a similarity- or an arousal-seeker through enough stages of the courtship to get her alone with you and into bed in under an hour, generally. Yet, if she’s a compliance-seeker, you can do it.

So, in addition to working backward in your logistics when you discover she has under an hour before she has to be somewhere, you are also going to begin immediately testing compliance to see what her compliance level is.

If she’s compliant, keep escalating compliance, and get her somewhere alone with you with at least a half hour before she needs to leave.

 

Picking Up a Girl When You Are Short on Time

When you’re short on time, things are comparatively simpler.

Rather than trying to force a fast seduction with any girl, you are going to switch over into pure screening game.

That means, rather than pick a girl then try to seduce her, you are going to look specifically for girls who are ready to be seduced.

Like we discussed with the <1 girls above, you will be compliance testing and rapidly compliance-escalating all the way. However, you are going to do that with every girl you talk to.

Your assumption going in should be that most girls won’t bite. Even if she likes you, she may need more time to get comfortable with you… and that just isn’t going to fit the compressed time window you’ve got.

Instead, you will be hunting for the girls who are already receptive to what you have to offer (namely: a quick seduction to intimacy).

 

Screening for Quick Pickup Girls: Game Style

In my experience, there are basically two kinds of ‘game preferences’ girls who are down for a quick pickup can have:

• Compliance-heavy direct game: which is where you come in with strong, sincere compliments (“Wow, you’re incredibly sexy. I love this dress. It suits you perfectly. I’m Oliver”) then stack lots of compliance fast (“Step over here with me a moment? Turn around real quick, I want to see the full dress. Oh yeah, it’s perfect. Now tell me about yourself. How is it you came to be here?”).

• Compliance-moderate flirtation game: which is where you come in with lots of teases and flirtation (“You’re having way too much fun over here. So what brings you out tonight, figured you’d come out and burn the place down?”), banter back and forth for a few minutes, then see if she’ll sit with you right away (“Let’s grab seats, I want to get to know you a bit better”).

The thing is, if you go with direct game, and she’s in the mood for flirtation, she’ll think you’re a simp; but if you go with flirtation, and she’s in the mood for direct, she’ll think you’re just a tease and auto-reject. Basically, you have a problem with attainability when you are hunting for horny girls… some girls need higher (compliment-based) or lower (flirtation-based) attainability approaches to bite.

How can you tell which she’ll need? Here’s the bad news: you can’t!

You have no way to know whether a girl will be more responsive to tease-based or compliment-based game. It’s easier to recover from slightly too-low attainability (then you are the hard-to-get guy who’s warmed up to her) than from too-high attainability (then you are the easy-to-get guy who’s trying to act aloof), so if you’re able to run both styles of game I recommend opening with teases then shifting to compliments if she’s guarded in the face of your flirtation.

Basically: you are starting with tease-based game, monitoring her response, then either continuing or changing course based on her responsiveness to it.

If she responds to neither your tease-based nor your direct game, odds are she is not going to be open for a quick pickup, but you can still compliance test her anyway.

Sometimes you will find girls who don’t respond to teases and shrug off compliments, but will comply if you tell them to. Usually these are the girls who are just bored, and not very much into you, but are horny and would like to hook up and you just happen to be the right guy at the right time (i.e., the only guy who is actually making a play for her; e.g., her only realistic option).

It is worth compliance testing even if both approaches flop, because you can still get freebies like this from time to time with girls who want to get laid, and will go along with it even if you wouldn’t be their first (or even 50th) choice – but since you are all they’ve got, so be it!

(Then once you get them in bed, you can blow their minds with your bedroom skills and get them to see you in a new light. The advantage of being good in bed!)

 

Escalating Quick Pickups

It’s helpful to have strong sexual intent when you are going for a quick pickup. If you’re not sure how to do that, see this article or this one, two of the earliest Girls Chase articles (because the topic is important!).

Beyond that, you will generally want to get plenty of touch going early on, just so it’s clear for her what the deal will be (and also to serve as another compliance test + compliance escalation).

Generally, you will need to take all the steps I discuss in my sexual escalation script and compress them down into as short a time as possible. If she balks at some point, she is not the one for you; so keep on moving, and continue the hunt!

Don’t forget that you can sleep with girls without a bed. Handling the sex logistics well can make quick pickups happen that otherwise would’ve been out-of-reach. Bathroom pulls, alleyway pulls, beach pulls, park pulls, even parking lot pulls, all can make it possible to close girls you otherwise couldn’t have, because you wouldn’t have the time.

 

Fast Pickup for Fun and Profit

“This is all so rushed, Chase; where’s the fun in that!” I hear you say.

Well, my friend, sometimes it’s fun to speed-run the pussy.

Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.

But also: many times girls are available during short windows who will not be available in longer ones. Perhaps she’s leaving town and tonight’s all she’s got. Perhaps she has a boyfriend you don’t know about or is about to get back with her ex, and it’s ‘now or never’ with her. Perhaps she’s ovulating right now, but tomorrow she won’t be, and her drive to get together won’t be there anymore.

If you’ve got the chance to close a girl, even if time is limited, you can run an expedited pickup and close her.

That’s the mantra of the guy who lays pipe like he’s in the plumbing business:

Always be closing.

Take up that mantra yourself, and you’ll have, at the very least, some great stories to tell.
