Deep down, I knew this was just part of a game of keeping her on her toes, and not indicative of a genuine cheating risk threshold. I think a more experienced\/secure girlfriend would have seen through it much quicker. But more importantly, I knew it was mostly smoke and mirrors (although I did come close to being unfaithful a handful of times... but I guess I never crossed the line, too). Ultimately, I didn\u0027t know if I could replace this girl, and was thus more attached to her that I should have been. He would get super infatuated with a new girl, take her as a girlfriend, promise her fidelity, and then get bored of her within a week. Repeat. Which was always very amusing to me. I can\u0027t see this guy ever joking around about how obsessed a girlfriend was with him while she was throwing out concerns. In fact, I remember how paranoid he would be about getting grilled, and he would always try to give as minimal of a response as possible.
