I have three primary ways research enters my\ncontent:\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Col\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EI already know the research (from prior reading) and have a\nspecific study or finding I want to incorporate, or even partly or\nfully base an article around\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003C\/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EI have a topic I want to talk about, but I only have my own\npersonal experience with the phenomenon, and maybe more anecdotal\nresults from guys I\u0027ve coached, friends I\u0027ve had, or folks I\u0027ve seen in\nthe forums over the years. So before I go saying \u0022This is that\u0022 I want\nto dredge up some research to make sure I\u0027m not running into a sampling\nerror. I\u0027d say about 70% of the time the research I find matches up\nwith what I wanted to say flawlessly (which just means the researchers\nare seeing the same phenomenon I and the other guys I\u0027m looking at are\nseeing), but 30% of the time the results will be weird or different or\ninconclusive. Here are some reasons why this might be, and what I think could\nbe happening\u0022, that was a case where I ran into research that didn\u0027t\nline up with what I and other guys have seen. And either way the research always\nserves as a nice cool down.
