One of\nthose is her breaking up with the guy. The other two are it\u2019s mutual or\nhe dumped her.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EOne final consideration: I suspect a large part of the\nsingle-motherhood that happens in the hood happens not because the\nwoman doesn\u2019t want the guy around to support her, but because either\nhe\u2019s in jail or he\u2019s a deadbeat. Which might make it \u201cher choice\u201d, but\nkind of not so much her choice either \u2013 it\u2019s the only practical choice,\ngiven the circumstances the guy puts her into.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EAmong non-blacks, it\u2019s going to be a tiny percent \u2013 maybe 10%(?) of Latinas who are choosing on their own accord to be single mothers?
