They\u0027re actually very basic tires - traction\u0027s pretty\nbasic, road noise is a little on the loud side, so actually quite\ndifferent from these tires - but if price is the absolute most\nimportant thing and you\u0027re fine with basic, they\u0027ll still do the trick\nin a pinch. What I hear from customers coming in here is that they\ntypically last closer to 30,000 miles, but Pep Boys puts a 100,000 mile\nwarranty on them because it makes them sell better and most customers\ndon\u0027t come back to complain. For those that do, they prorate the tires\nwhen you come back to get a new set and still manage to make a little\nmoney. Where they really make their money though and one of the biggest\ndifferences between us and them is from the store; they tell you it\u0027ll\ntake about 3 hours to install your tires, although for the first 2\nhours or so your car just sits there in the lot, and they make you go\nwalk around the store while you wait; most of the time you\u0027ll end up\nbuying a bunch of things you don\u0027t really need just because there\u0027s\nnothing else to do. One of the main differences with us is that we want\nto get you in and out as quickly as possible because we\u0027re busy and we\nassume you are too and have better things to do than hang around at a\ntire store, fun as that is. That\u0027s why we have our 30-minute guarantee\n- we\u0027ll put your new tires on in 30 minutes, or give you $20 off the\nticket price. Mine was just a lesson learned through experience: start approaching as soon as you leave the house, or it gets progressively harder the longer you wait. Part of the reason I enjoy transit game so much even to this day probably comes from living in Washington, D.C. early on into my learning curve and the train station routinely being the first place in the night I\u0027d start talking to a pretty girl. I also learned to focus on the present - any time I\u0027d feel nervous when going out, I\u0027d make myself start looking at the trees, the buildings, the shadows people cast on the sidewalk, the people themselves, and just notice what\u0027s happening in the moment. Fear is almost entirely unfounded speculation about the future - fearing rejection is fearing something that hasn\u0027t happened, and doesn\u0027t feel anywhere near as bad when it DOES happen as it does when you IMAGINE it happening.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EOn looks, the most reliable way I\u0027ve found is just spending some time with a certain look, getting used to the kinds of results it gets, and then changing that look.
