A few weeks back one of the readers here requested I get up an example of how a typical conversation goes for me with a new woman, and how I engage her. I tried to put a few conversations to paper over the past few weeks, but each of them was less than a great example – either because the girl engaged me a little too aggressively herself to be all that useful to beginning and intermediate guys, or because I knew the girl already through social circle so it wasn't a completely fresh connection, or because there were multiple people involved and I was juggling other men competing for a woman while I built a connection with her.
So rather than post up one of those messy examples, which might be useful in some ways but less-than-useful in others, instead I'll put up a made-up example conversation to show how you can use conversation to engage a girl who's moderately interested. Note that this is all stuff I use with real women and I've structured the girl's response to reflect how women typically respond to these conversational topics.

I think we know how this ends.
On anither note, great example chase, I can't tell you how many times I have referred to this, in my own quest for improvement.
Excellent article! This is,
Excellent article! This is, along with the posts on deep diving and getting to know a girl, the best I've ever read anywhere on the subject of seduction. When you write out examples like this everything becomes so much clearer, especially when you write out big parts of a conversation and not just a small segment. All I can say is that I would love to see more of this. I have your book so I've read the examples in the end and they were very helpful, but if you could also write out a conversation where you go over the really personal stuff you get into when you talk to a girl (like her childhood which you touched upon in the last question), that would be much appreciated. Thanks for being one of the few guys in the community who actually knows what he's talking about and sharing your experiences with others. You rock! :)
Great Step-by-step guide!
This is genius! The explanations provided for almost every step are great.
Extraordinary Article. I've
Extraordinary Article. I've one request: Can you give some more examples of things to say after introducing OUTSIDE CLUBS that isn't inherently suspicious. You see, I'm really introvert and usually, if a stranger approaches me, my first thought is something like- "What are they trying to sell?" (Then they turn out to be missionaries. Oh dear!). It's not like I'm socially retard or anything, people tell me I can be quite charming when I'm in my "flow"; unfortunately, my "flow" generally consist of physics, sci-fi, RPGs, programming and an assortment of geeky jokes- not exactly something I'll whip out in front of a stranger. My question is - How to exactly continue a conversation with an unknown (and probably smart) girl after the initial "Hey" or "Mind if I join you?" so that she doesn't mistakes me for a salesman :-) and creeps out? (The usual reply to above questions is "Hi" and "Sure, why not". I know because I ran a Bayesian filter, long live Paul Graham!) (see what I meant by geeky humor, lol).
this is so cool
This is so cool that I couldn't help smiling and amazed at the twists and turns the guy made in the conversation... nice one chase...
This is great! Especially if
This is great! Especially if you don't have the opportunity to watch good conversations all that often, and you yourself are not very good (like me), it is worth it's weight in gold to see how you transform your metaskills into concrete conversation.
I'd love to read more of this stuff!
How to make the conversation sexual??
How to make and when to pull her? I liked this article, i know it was just an example but i think this cliche "i love travelling, and classical music, and italy and spain" bullshit might come off as pretentious and scare away younger and dumber girls. Like what about a dumb bimbo who isnt as sharp as a paralegal. And i doubt a paralegal would show any interest to an artist or photography. What if someone has an unimpressive job? Would you recommend lying? Like what if im just a cashier or a security guard? I dont mean any disrespect but that conversation seemed kind of cheesy to me " i like drinking wine and visiting art museums." is not impressive. It just sound like something 50 yr old rich jack offs do.
keeping a conversation going
Great job. The twists and turns, with the example kept me glued.
Thanks for sharing.
But where's the sexy?
Chase,
I like this dialogue. It's flowing and suave. But it's not sexy and intriguing. It's just normal conversation, going a bit beyond smalltalk, and showing off conversational finesse while doing it. None of this stuff is uber personal, it's just normal everyday stuff, jobs, siblings, travel, all the conversations you'd expect between two people meeting for the first time, even friends. If I was a girl, I'd be wondering when the guy is going to get on with it. Most of your articles talk about conversation just dripping with sex appeal, and I'm thinking about some Damien Salvatore-like character (Hector referenced him in one of his articles). In fact, in your article How to Text a Girl: 20 More Tips and Techniques, this conversation style is what you refer to as Really, Incredibly Witty and Interesting Guy™, and you have your own negative comments on that style in that article. I'm really not trying to criticize, I'm just wondering where the magic happens.
Tim
Wow, so intriguing
I really this piece of conversation, it's so amazing
Good example but no flirting
How do we make this more sexual so she knows we don't want to just be her travel buddy

Holy...Coincidence!?!?!?
I'm not an anonymous person on the Internet seeking attention, nor is this comment/question a joke from a troll.
Did you hear about a conversation a girl had with some guy and simultaneously wrote it down as she was speaking to you or(as soon as you were away from this girl), attempting to recall as much of the conversation as possible, did you start to write down what you just heard in hopes of making a new post on your website about a "conversation example"?
It's just a very strange coincidence that I had an extremely similar(practically word for word) conversation with a girl. I live in the Midwest near a well-known arch if that rings a bell...
