Tread Cutting

Looking through a lot of the articles on conversation and deep diving im still unsure on how to thread cutting i understand the basic concept that your trying to cut negatives topics and turn the conversation in a positive direction but i don't know how implement it, should you just change to a completely different topic or try find the good within that topic which she view as negative

It's typically better to cut off the topic rather than trying to find the positive in it, because she'll come right back and find the negative in it to support her prior claim. In action, you simply ignore what she said and move onto something else, almost seeming distracted and/or not interested in what she's saying.

As always - it's better to steer the conversation away from this before it happens. Look for the patterns that are developing which lead to negative topics, and if they can be avoided, work on doing just that.
